Worst experience in the world. Just got miss treated by an older lady Cafe Staff (should have got the Name of Staff for the owner in case they like to do retraining. If she is the owner, even worst). There was 4 of us and Cafe wasn't busy. We ordered a pie each and my Wife wanted Instant noodles because we had sandwiches for the last Couple of days. Asked them whether they happen to Sell any. They said no but advice there was a Supermarket nearby. We walked there and Bought one cup noodle. Used our own plastic folk and was about to rejoin the group to have our lunch in the Cafe. This lady waitress kicked us out and said no outside Food. I understand they do Want people to buy their food and don't welcome Free loader. But we Bought our pies and drinks and my Wife just wanted to eat a small bowl with us ? Would it matter if it is biscuit? In this day of age. Any businesses especially hospitality business cannot be this stiff and unfriendly. She really thought she was right kicking us out and ask us to eat in the rain. Anyway. Their business will survive because they don't Need regular Customer , they just need uninformed travellers to Give them new business everyday. unless we decide to boycott them till their attitude improve :(

Stopped here for a break between Mt Gambier and Adelaide on a PH Monday. Welcoming smiles and happy greetings were just the beginning of a great experience. I enjoyed a lovely cuppa tea and treated myself to a vanilla slice. Yum! None of this sickly sweet stuff from some places, but tasty, creamy and ... you just have to try one for yourself. Coffee being made for other customers smelled great too, as did the pies, pasties, etc. So much variety to chose from. Even bought donuts to give to the GKs. This will be my planned stop every time I go that way.

Came here for a quick bite to eat. My boyfriend and I got a spinach and cheese roll each. They looked sad and small, but were pretty yummy! I'd definitely want to eat that again. They were quite small though, not worth $5.10! My partner said his coffee was fine (long black). A lot of people said the coffees are bitter, but he didn't think it was that bad. The lady who took our order was bored. She wasn't friendly or pleasant.

Disappointed, stopped in for something to eat and drink as we were travelling through. Not much to choose from if wanting a basic roll/sandwich. Didn't ask if they could make something up as the person serving us seemed nice but may have been having an off day. Noticed they were selling iced coffees, I asked if I could have an iced chocolate and advised no we don't make them but I could have a milkshake. Sorry but not the same..... so I went without a drink, yep loss of sale... not everyone drinks coffee. Not readily happy to recommend your business. Sorry but most places are willing...

I dunno if the morning loaf bakery has changed hands recently or maybe a different baker, but the food I purchased today was some of the most mediocre, middle of the road bakery food I've had in quite some time. The donut was disgraceful, the sausage roll ordinary, the steak cheese and bacon was alright. It had nice chunky steak, but the foil trays just don't work for me, which is a personal preference but having the bottom of a pie trying to drop out at 110km/h doesn't appeal to me. This was a reliable stop and an excellent bakery for 10-15 years for me, but now,...
