Dave's Bakehouse Kyogle — Restaurant in Kyogle

Well...sorry to say we did take the trip from sydney to kooralbyn...(now almost a year ago) passing through kyogle to pick up the donuts (20x of them) we sat and had an excellent coffee with an awesome side plate of chips (seriously still the best ever!) and admired the recently renovated cafe...but alas...someone must have changed the recipe since the last batch and the high expectation we had was somewhat shattered...maybe we had set the bar a little too high...but after telling the family and friends how great they were when passing a year before...anyways...totally my fault...couldn't exactly change my mind after already ordering...

Best Pie (we had plain beef) we have had for ages the pastry was cooked to perfection. The filling was fantastic. As for the Sausage Rolls they are the best we have tasted, we had one when we were in town in January 2022 and a day later drove from Casino to have another one. We are back in Lismore from Sydney and made the drive again just for a Sausage Roll. I also bought a Vanilla Slice and that was yummy too. The Staff were fantastic and friendly, will be back in March 2022 and Pies and Sausage Rolls are on...

Obviously a popular local bakery. Busy and much loved by locals. Lots of choices in cakes, pies, sandwiches etc. Pie was okay, I had a beef and mushroom. Staff prompt but not very friendly. Seemed super friendly to locals. Biggest negative was the heat inside, not very pleasant to sit and enjoy your lunch. The aircon wasn't coping and just insufficient little fans. It made you feel uncomfortable enough that I didn't finish my pie and we left. It was cooler outside in...
