Caramels at Cathie — Restaurant in Lake Cathie

I just wanted to say what a wonderful job you’re doing taking over the management for caramels! The staff are always friendly and helpful and the coffee and food is ALWAY incredible.

I also wanted to share that my husband and I were totally OK with a weekend surcharge! It seems only reasonable to expect cafes or any services that open on a weekend to have a small increase in price to cover their extra costs. I’m grateful we live in a country that recognizes and recompenses unsocial hours and we’re more than happy to support this with a small surcharge. You’re sacrificing your weekends and having to pay staff high weekend wages.

Lovely people amazing looking Cafe. Loved the riddle on the blackboard. I got an iced coffee and it was like they just poured the coffee mixture straight and milk it had all the settlements at the bottom and when I went to drink it through the straw it tastes like burnt coffee. My partner's coffee was so hot she couldn't even hold it in her hands. Ever since the new owners have taken over caramels has really changed and not for the better either. Prices have increased dramatically on coffees and meals, they are charging extra if you use eftpos and charging extra on weekends. It’s not a friendly environment any more either. I feel like the new owners have really let taking over a business get to their heads. It seems like it’s all just about them and their wallets and it’s not a friendly, vibrant, happy and well priced environment that it used to be.
