'Cafe' isn't doing this place justice! Good coffee, lunch, and cocktails after 10am 🍹 Also, ice cream. We came here twice in one day, definitely the best cafe spot in the Ridge. We had the veggie pie and cheese toastie. ❗Mind the prices. $18 cocktails and a $13 frappe 🤯 The prices weren't listed on the cocktails, and the lovely Aperol Spritz cost more than all our food combined. The frappe was probably my fault, I asked about whether they could do a Nutella mocha (both options), and the staff member asked if I'd like a shot added... but didn't mention it was a $4 addition. If it increases the price by 50%, I reckon that's worth a call-out. Add the surcharge, and it was a heck of a morning tea! A bit off-putting. They have a lovely pay-it-forward option, where you can shout someone a coffee. Indoor and outdoor seating. Public holiday surcharge 💵

We wish we had discovered this cafe earlier in our Lightning Ridge stay but we still managed three morning-teas there and can't recommend it highly enough. Everything was perfect but I must mention that they make THE BEST traditional iced-coffee I have EVER had - and I'm an iced-coffee addict, so consume many. All the staff are wonderful - thank you so much!!! p.s. There is so much to see and do in Lightning Ridge - we do recommend the area. Don't forget this cafe and the John Murray Art Gallery!

Personally, I was fully intent on giving 4 stars, but Jarrathy petitioned me into dropping another one off. My chunky pie was super chunky. Sure, the top pastry was dry as a sawpit, but it was delicious, and the coffee was decent. However, his pie was a chunkless sea of mince. Of course, he could do his own review, but trust me, nobody needs that level of grief. An extra 30c for sauce on an $8 pie knocked off another star. Sauceflation is ruining the Australian way of life. Fair dinkum.
