As a local Lobehtal-ian, having a beautiful venue like Golding only a stones throw away is a little bit spesh. But that doesn't mean I'll be biased in my review, just as a parent shouldn't really have a favourite child hahaha. Ginkgo's locally sourced, seasonal, multi course offering is something most eateries are embracing these days; and why wouldn't they with the stunning produce we have available on our SA doorstep, but there were definitely teething problems. The Scallops were unfortunately undercooked, translucent and missing that signature melt in your mouth feel. Had they been hit slightly longer in a searing hot skillet the result would be night and day. The Falafels could have have used a kiss more seasoning and seemed out of place on the otherwise modern menu. The Pork Roulade was nice, but the shoulder cut can have a tendency to over soften when cooked like this, as was evident here. However the Ling was cooked beautifully, which is a credit to chef as this meaty fish can be as tough as old boots if not treated well. The Magnum dessert was super playful and delicious. One thing that was noticeable was the respect shown to the vegetables accompanying all the dishes which were fresh, vibrant and colourful. Massive props to the staff who were attentive, bubbly and on point all day. Special shout out to John. In all, Ginkgo has the ingredients to becoming one of Adelaide Hills finer dining experiences, but to do that the little things have to be mastered. Side note: All of our chosen dishes were Gluten Free

I found Ginko to be a lovely restaurant to visit and have lunch. The only thing that I would say could do with some improvement is the pizza. I definitely have had better. Maybe a few more topping choices would help. The Gluten free base was not good. The service, wine and atmosphere was superb. Take the time to stroll in the gardens as they are stunning. I would visit again as the winery is a beauty.

We love coming to Golding. Our fourth visit this time we came for lunch. The burrata, Chicken dish and the barramundi were amazing. The service was excellent as well. Definitely will always coming back 😊

I made my reservation online, which was an easy process. We opted for the July special Winter warmer lunch, which entailed ordering 3 main dishes from the menu and it was accompanied by roasted potatoes and a spinach pumpkin salad. We ate the best sourdough for entree, light and fluffy , accompanied by roasted garlic and olives. The duck, pork belly and Thai greens were spectacular. Chelsea, our waitress was sensational. She answered all our questions promptly and provided excellent suggestions from the wine list. Her friendliness and sense of humour were a delight. Well done Goldings, for hiring her, she is a great asset. The Winery itself is surround by a gorgeous garden. The room is beautiful and the only suggestion I would provide is that it could do with more heating during the cold winter months. Overall and excellent experience. Thank you Chelsea for looking...

We went to Ginkgo Restaurant for lunch with a group of 6. We had the shared plates menu and covered most of the dishes on offer between us all. Everything was delicious and there was enough to satisfy the bigger men in the group. I love the ambience of Golding's, it really is such a gorgeous space with natural light and warmth. The service was excellent with the wine to match. It was a perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon. I would like to try their casual pizza menu next visit as that also looked amazing. I highly...
