Just a heads-up for Muslims , they have halal certificates for their chicken and beef suppliers (displayed on the windows), but when I asked in person, the staff said the meat is cooked together with pork and not separately. They also mentioned using mirin (a type of alcohol) in their sushi and teriyaki chicken. So the restaurant itself isn’t fully halal, even though the supplier meat is.
EDIT: I called them a few days before visiting because I was planning to take my friends there and wanted to confirm if the halal meat was cooked separately and they told me it was and verified that there is no cross contamination. When I visited, I was told it’s cooked together with pork so I was very surprised, so I called once more afterward to politely suggest clarifying the halal certificates on display so other Muslims wouldn’t be misled. Instead of responding calmly, the staff started yelling at me and hung up. My intention was simply to prevent confusion, nothing more.
No one is forcing you to sell halal. My only concern is that halal certificates are displayed even though the halal meat is cooked with pork and mirin (a type of alcohol) is used in the food.
