Today (21/11/16), I sat down at the Coffee Club here at Meadowbrook where I intended to meet some clients. Half way through this business meeting with clients, the store manager approached the table to inform us that the table was reserved for those who are buying food only.
While I agree to an extent with this store manager's statement, I do believe she 'missed the point' of the coffee club and I am surprised she has been promoted to such a level. As a customer, I have previously enjoyed meeting with clients at various Coffee Clubs around the South East, and from those visits, I can suggest that I have increased their business by introducing potential future customers to the outlet. I, therefore, believe that The Coffee Club is not only selling it's food or beverages but its 'hospitality and experience', a fact that this store manager has completely missed the concept of.
I had intended to purchase a beverage but I do not appreciate being forced especially in circumstances such as in the middle of a client meeting. For this reason, I wish to express my disappointment with this outlet and at this stage, I don't feel it appropriate to support future experiences for other people similar to the one I...
Read moreI was really dissapoInted in the fact that I feel like I completely wasted 35$ on my order, I got take away I went to Woolies came back 5mins ish later to see my food ready and stood at the counter to ask if it was mine and where my drink was no one served me so I stood back and waited probably a good 10mins I decided to step out again and come back probably about 10mins again. They pulled my drink out of the fridge and gave me my food which I had seen the first time I came back and had sat there for 20mins When I opened it the fries and burger were completely soggy. Not to mention that I decided to get the chicken fillet burger due to seeing the picture and I may has well gone to maccas and it would have been 10x better. The patty was barely even 5mm thick and waaaaay over cooked and ofcourse soggy. The bacon was also waaaaay over cooked. Which I paid extra for. My “iced mocha” tasted like a cheap chocolate milk shake needless to say the only good thing was the aioli. Very disappointed coffee club after spending so much on a treat lunch while my son is in the hospital. You have gone down hill and I won’t be returning and I most definitely will not be getting that “juicy chicken burger” again as it was...
Read moreMy child and I sat down at approximately 2:30pm on Wednesday with the intent to order coffee and cake while waiting for my husband to finish work. The website said open until 4pm so we thought we had plenty of time. Within 1 minute of us sitting there, which I spent logging in to my coffee club account to check the menu, there was an angry young man come outside dragging the chairs and tables inside and slamming things around. We were clearly there for coffee as he was right next to us when we were discussing what we wanted to order and whether we just wanted coffee and cake or food. Ultimately we went to the McDonald's across the carpark and had coffee and toasted sandwiches there and probably won't even bother trying next time. We were definitely made to feel unwelcome and perhaps next time stopping past to say "hi we are actually closing early today can we get you a coffee to go?" Or "hi we are closing the outdoor seating would you like to be seated inside?" Would be a better way of handling customer service than passive aggressively slamming...
