Rude staff member. Very unhelpful. Not at all accomodating. Very small portions for a big price. No one in my group will step back in that shop. A shame. The service etc was very good under previous ownership.
In answer to the owners who saw my review. We were in on sat 8th around 10.45am. I run a friendship group and we do the rounds of local cafes. A young lady took our order and was lovely. An older woman served up our orders and is the lady my review was referring too. We ordered calamari and chips for 2. It was $16. We agreed on the price and even accepted there would only be 4 calamari rings, but there was only a handful of chips. Definitely not enough for 1 person and there was 2 of us. I dont normally complain but the agro from the lady and then what we got for the price just wasn't good enough. Im sorry but it left a bad taste in my mouth and the other ladies were unimpressed also. Having said that though it was very nice if only there were more. The other ladies were happy with the food...

This old world style cafe is a jewel in the crown, situated across from - the bridge - obviously- at Macksville is this unassuming old world cafe
The food is a welcome respite from the weary hours of driving- headed north or south.
Be there before 11.30 am to get the breakfast menu

The coffee was good - and worth a try - it was so much better than the fast food alternative
Breakfast was delicious and was quickly served- the eggs poached and bacon crisp
Food prep was well in place
There are no bathrooms available in house- it’s a walk down the street to the public council facility- not very well maintained
Normally it would be ok but the cafe has had the bathrooms closed for over 12 months
Breakfast was a little expensive but worth the cost and time - this is a...
Read moreI recently visited The Bridge River St. Cafe in Maxwell and had a delightful experience. The cafe offers pleasant views of the river and the bridge, which adds to its charm. Inside, I initially mistook for a church , but it as an antique feel .
I enjoyed a well-brewed coffee and a delicious BLT. The prices were reasonable, making it a great value for the quality. The booth seating was particularly enjoyable, providing a cozy and comfortable spot to relax. There was plenty to choose from on the menu, catering to various tastes.
Overall, The Bridge River St. Cafe is a lovely spot with great views, a charming atmosphere, and excellent food and drink options. Highly recommended for anyone...
