Burger Baby Margaret River — Restaurant in Margaret River

Had been here once before and food was amazing, they had a bbq meat platter with mac and cheese thing that was so good. Sadly that wasn't there this time, not sure why, so had the burger of the week/special instead... It was ok, nice burger and all, but at 35 bucks I think was overpriced, wasn't really much better than the everything burger my mate had which was much cheaper, and the chips that both came with could have done with a couple more minutes in the fryer, they were a tad under done. The missus had a fried cheese and chips things that was very good, and much better value at only 20 bucks, wish I had ordered that instead.

Drink wise we had lemon lime bitters first round that was good, then ordered pints of the in house made beer and that was, I'm sorry to say, quite bad, almost totally flavourless and very weak tasting. So, we switched after that to the tall trees ipa, and though that wasn't really a fave either, it at least had flavour, so anothe pint of that went down well, as did a couple of their hibiscus cocktails later.

Entertainment wise they had a quiz night on and that was pretty good fun, had some good chats with locals who were playing, and overall had a good night, however, I was a bit disappointed that the food and the first beer was a bit of a let down compared to our first visit as I had been bigging it up to my mate who came with us this time.

Will still go again probably in future but will check menu and what's on...

AN EXTREMELY MEDIOCRE EXPERIENCE - We have been to Burger Baby multiple times and have never had an issue before this time. We came on a Friday evening like usual and they didn't have our booking in the diary (despite calling 5 days prior to pre book) it wasn't an issue as the place was very quiet. The staff were young and seemed quite inexperienced, the waitress didn't know what was in the 'special' drink of the evening and didn't bother to find out, we had to wait ages for our drinks despite it being quiet, we ended up with a lemonade we didn't order, no one came to check if everything was ok with our meal, no one came back to ask if we wanted to order extra drinks (which we did), burgers were great as usual (The only saving grace from the whole night) but the chips were bland and had absolutely no seasoning, the place was boiling hot and the air con was not on, once we had finished our meal there were no staff around to order desert from (We ended going up the road for desert instead) and my partner went up to the desk to pay the bill as no one came to give it to us. It all seems like rather insignificant things especially as prior visits have been great but this was not the type of service we expect when going out for dinner. Hopefully it was just a one off. The manager can contact me if he/she wants...

I never leave reviews but are at lunch and it’s dinner and I’m still so annoyed I wasted money here. Such an unwelcome vibe from the beginning, ordering from the table without any customer service. Ordered burgers when looking at info it doesn’t state they come with chips and chips then listed below as something to order so I order them separately. Burgers come out with chips and then 2 lots of chips on top. I asked the staff about this and they simply shrugged and says yeah it happens all the time because it’s so unclear on the menu but you can have a takeaway box. Who takes chips away to eat later? Yuck. Burger came out with gf bun I didn’t ask for and there was so much oil everywhere it was just so off. Didn’t finish - asked for said takeaway box as I hate waste they were given to me to just do myself. Water was empty had to ask for it to be refilled so we could drink. Staff seemed to just actively about eye contact the whole time it was just so unpleasant. ...
