I am very old customer of aangan.. I tried 2 weeks ago , food wasn’t good but I liked the dessert & I thought to try again but it’s very disappointing 2nd time also. Although this time curry & noodles was good but naans are just joke .. I know these days there’s new tandoor ovens the flat ones where you put naans on top like tawa but that’s not the naans we want... atleast you should have real tandoor oven so that we can have the real naans .. chilli naan is just cut chilli placed on top of naan like dressing... unprofessional cooking from tandoor side...I ordered sweet & sour veg soup also ... please do not try ... I ordered a entree also which never came when I asked in the last they said we don’t have that then I ordered my favourite dessert which I had here before which I liked last time.. then waitress came & said oh entree is still coming ha ha I said we have been told that you don’t have that dish & I have already finished my food so don’t worry about that now... restaurant is beautiful & all waitress are pretty nice...still I didn’t said anything after dessert came .... they asked how is it ... I said not good today... they said y I said because you c what I had last time & today I got this...

One of the significant life events that you will always remember is hosting your daughter's first birthday. In order to discover that one restaurant in the western suburbs that offered everything we required, we embarked on a strenuous quest. We were fortunate to zero in on Aangan, Point Cook. Event Day : Although the restaurant was crowded that day, we were served incredibly nicely by Himani, the manager, who made sure the event went smoothly. The staff graciously agreed to all our demands be it - taking the leftover food home or asking for ice buckets etc. The food was sumptuous and every guest that was invited was off the same opinion. Special Shoutout to the restaurant manager - Himani and server Niyati Joshi for their admirable spirit. Anyone looking for hosting events in western suburbs, your search ends at Aangan.

A Culinary Delight Crafted by Chef Kamal Didi and Assisted by Receptionist Himani

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant where Chef Kamal Didi showcased his culinary expertise, accompanied by the warm and efficient service of Receptionist Himani. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with a smile and felt instantly welcomed. The ambiance was inviting, with a cozy yet elegant atmosphere that set the stage for an exceptional dining experience.

Let's talk about the star of the show, Chef Kamal Didi. The moment the food arrived at our table, it became evident that we were in for a treat. Each dish was a masterpiece, meticulously prepared with attention to detail. The flavors were perfectly balanced, showcasing Chef Kamal's creativity and passion for his craft. The presentation was nothing short of stunning, as each plate resembled a work of art. From the appetizers to the desserts, every bite was a burst of delightful flavors that left me craving more.

Chef Kamal's menu showcased a wide array of culinary influences, blending traditional and contemporary elements seamlessly. His expertise in combining different ingredients and spices was evident, resulting in dishes that were both familiar and exciting. Whether it was the succulent grilled seafood, the tender and juicy cuts of meat, or the vibrant vegetarian options, every dish surpassed my expectations.

Complementing the exceptional culinary experience was the impeccable service provided by Receptionist Himani. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and always ready to assist. Her warm and friendly demeanor added an extra layer of comfort to our evening, making us feel valued and well taken care of. Himani's recommendations were spot-on, and she ensured that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish.

In addition to the outstanding food and service, the overall ambiance of the restaurant was captivating. The tasteful décor, soothing lighting, and well-spaced tables created an intimate and relaxed setting. It was evident that great care was taken in creating an environment that complemented the culinary journey offered by Chef Kamal.

In conclusion, my dining experience at this restaurant, orchestrated by Chef Kamal Didi and guided by Receptionist Himani, was truly exceptional. The quality of the food, the passion in its preparation, and the outstanding service made it an unforgettable evening. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an extraordinary culinary adventure. Make sure to savor Chef Kamal's creations and let Receptionist Himani's warm hospitality enhance your...

Good food; however plagued with terrible service.

We were a group of four, the other couple with me decided to pay cash ($63.5 bill paid during ordering) They paid 100$ requiring change, for whatever reason, they were told they would bring the change to the table later. Upon wanting to leave, we asked for the change and were told to wait a few minutes. After sitting there for 5 more minutes We were brought the change, only to be told they were short a 50c coin. They said 'is that okay?' We were so over the service and wanted to leave so we accepted and walked off.. but what kind of business would make it the customers problem if they are short coins ?

During the dinner, entree was brought quick (positive). It took around 10 minutes for a lemon lime bitters to be brought, after waiting 5 mins a worker came and asked if we had ordered one... yes... then 5 mins later another worker takes it to the wrong table before finding ours. At this point we were joking around whats with the service here ? Only for it to get stranger.

When mains were brought, we received the curries first (no rice). Plates were taken by the waiter and we waited another 5 minutes for new plates without eating. Another 5 minutes after that the rice was finally brought so we could start eating.

Overall the table service felt very disjointed. It wasn't busy at all so i'm not sure how this many mistakes could happen. Potentially a lack of experienced staff but don't think i'll return any time soon. For those considering, the food is good and I hope you are lucky enough to have a better...

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Not Worth a Visit

Visited Aangan Restaurant in Point Cook with my family for a Friday night dinner, and unfortunately, it was a complete disaster from start to finish. The place was untidy and had an unpleasant smell as soon as we walked in. To make matters worse, the cutlery – including the glasses, plates, and spoons – was dirty, which immediately set off alarm bells about hygiene standards.

The owners, a couple who seemed to be running the place, appeared inexperienced and quite clueless about handling a busy dinner service. The service lacked coordination, and there was no sense of professionalism.

We started with the Chilli Chicken, which was overcooked, dry, and completely tasteless. Hoping things would improve, we tried the Fish Tikka, but it was overwhelmingly dominated by ajwain (carom seeds), which ruined the overall flavor.

For the main course, we ordered the Chicken 65 Biryani. It was greasy with excessive ghee and, surprisingly, filled with the same Chilli Chicken we had ordered earlier as an entrée – not Chicken 65. The flavors were poorly balanced, and the rice was partly uncooked, making the dish inedible.

Overall, it was a deeply unsatisfying experience for what should have been an enjoyable Friday night dinner. The owners seriously need to step up their game, pay attention to cleanliness, and perhaps consider hiring a skilled chef if they want to improve. This place is not worth the money you pay. Not...
