Amalfi Pizza & Pasta Mill Park — Restaurant in Melbourne

Edit: I ordered my free pizza as per the response on my initial review, over the phone. When I collected it the man was very irate that I didn’t mention it was free over the phone when I ordered. I asked him why it mattered and he said he had already “put it through the system”. It was a pick up order to pay in cash…. It literally doesn’t make a difference other than him making the pizza worse or spitting in it. You can’t “put through a pizza in the system” with no payment method. Whether I paid in cash, card or coupon upon arrival it’s all the same. The pizza was better than the first time, actually quite good. But you lose a star due to childish behaviour which should make everyone question what goes in to their food when staff are in a bad mood…. Amalfi… hire better staff. Too many pizza shops around to accept such poor employees.

I ordered a pizza from Amalfi Pizza & Pasta Mill Park and was advised it would take 30 to 40 minutes, but it arrived after an hour and a half. After eating it, I became unwell with food poisoning, and I have timestamped photos from the following morning as evidence.

When I contacted the shop, they apologised and issued a refund. However, when I requested a complimentary replacement pizza, which I felt was the least they could do given the circumstances, this was refused. To make matters worse, they repeatedly implied I was not telling the truth by insisting that nobody else got sick.

While I appreciate that a refund was provided, the long delay, becoming unwell, the refusal to offer even a small goodwill gesture, and the dismissive way my concerns were handled were extremely disappointing and...

Placed an online pick up order at 12:30AM, ordered family size peri peri paneer, drove 25 minutes to pick up the order but ended up getting chicken instead of paneer even though the store was quite and the girl in the store serving did check the order twice before handing the order to us. When we called the store about the issue the only thing they said that they can replace the pizza now if we pick it up and there were no delivery options present or give it to us next time. But the thing is why should a person needs to drive twice and waste their time to get their food when its the restaurant staff at fault that too 1AM in the night. But still we went and the girl serving us,didn’t even try to apologise once.
