Bakers Delight Mernda Town Centre — Restaurant in Melbourne

Using the Toogoodtogo app I got a discount surprise bag for $10. Pick up 7pm to 7.30pm. The shop ceases selling at 7.30 pm turning off their tills. Then they have to pack up the store, bag up the remaining unsold bread to donate to local farmers etc, which most if not all stores do. I arrived at 7.34pm after dealing with a troublesome 6yo. I was met with a very rude and abrupt store manager who informed me that I was late, pick up is a strict 7pm to 7.30pm and my goods have been thrown out. In 4 mins, they have thrown out a bag of food that has been paid for, BEFORE they pack up the entire store, she has thrown out the stuff that's paid for. No effort on her behalf was apologetic, nor any effort made to make good of the situation, basically telling me to get stuffed, you were late, tough luck. The new management at this store is horribly rude to their staff!! I was informed through one of the younger works of their new managment as of recently, through a new girl Mel. I was purchasing bread, whilst I overheard Mel screaming at the top of her lungs at this young poor girl to ‘go next door and take off her nails right now’ and she should ‘know better’ and then proceeded to send her home!!!! This Bakers Delight has the worst Customer Service. They either all need sacking or retrained. Go in to buy a loaf of Bread & mention to the young man serving these pre sliced loaves cannot possibly be Toast slice they are so thin. His response was well they are toast slice so you either buy them or go without. So decided to go with out & will never return to the store again & I went to Laurimar much better service & much better...
