Bamboo Cafe and Restaurant — Restaurant in Melbourne

This place is rubbish. We booked a table of 10 and asked for water on the table and we were given a jug and only 3 glasses. The menu is horribly executed! They have pictures of chips on the menu with little take away sauce packs and it's a dine in restaurant??? It's as if the owners have never walked into a restaurant before! I ordered a fatoush salad and it was served with teaspoons to eat with. The menu has 3 pages of alcohol but no wines available??? I asked if they serve wine and the waiter said i don't think so but we'll do it, when asked what type of wine he was unsure??? The food menu has names of the dishes but no description under them. When you're new to the cuisine you want to know what the hell pacha contains or what type of fish. One of the dishes was labeled "fish". What a terrible place. It has no atmosphere. It's dark and dogdy looking. And they took forever to bring out those lousy dishes. The waiters never came up to check how our meals are. I got the porterhouse steak in my first sitting and let me tell it was far from a porterhouse the steak was as tough as boot leather and was not a porterhouse it was a thin cut of waste meat more like the only appetising part of the meal was the mushroom sauce which was good and made the steak palatable , then I had the lamb ribs and they were overcooked, flavourless and dry, $30 for 4 tiny, terrible ribs, on top of a "salad" made of lettuce and red onion, also $10 for a bowl of frozen fries and tomato packets. Worst place EVER! Worst service. Most dodgiest looking place also on the inside!! Can't even put into words how terribly depressing it was. And authentic Iraqi food???? Okay didn't see any authenticity to it whatsoever WHERE WERE OUR CULTURAL FOOD?! Didn't even have any of the drinks that were listed on your dodgy menu AT ALL; I mean why show Chai latte if you don't actually sell it? Only normal coffee and tea is available?!
