Carl's Jr. Melton — Restaurant in Melbourne

On Carl's Jr. website, it says that they can't wait for you to experience the mouth-watering food and friendly service. I certainly didn't experience both of this at Carl's Jr. Melton. Do not go to this place!! Their service is extremely slow and poor. Why do you even give customers an option to customize their food when your staff isn't going to do it as requested. I ordered two burgers, a Hawaiian Chicken and a Veggie Star with Cheese. With the Hawaiian Chicken, I chose no tomato and no onion but it still came with both of them. For the Veggie Star with Cheese, I chose no tomato and added ranch sauce ($1.00 extra) but it wasn't made as per order. Clearly, the staff at this outlet doesn't know how to read orders correctly.

Now, let me tell you about their super slow service for this fast food restaurant chain. I placed an online order at 8:24pm and received my order confirmation email stating that the expected pick-up time is 8:35pm. I went through their drive through to collect my order at around 8:43pm, which was 10 minutes after the expected time that was mentioned in the order confirmation email. By this time the food should have been ready but it wasn't and I was asked to wait at the waiting bay. After about 10 minutes of waiting, one of the staff comes out to give me my order but it's the wrong order and she then goes car by car asking who's order it is. So I decided to go inside to find out what's happening with my order and was told that it's coming on the way. At the same time, there was another person waiting for his order and said he'd been waiting for a very long time. I looked around at the restaurant and it was empty. At about 9:18pm, I was told that my order was nearly ready and just waiting on my Hawaiian Chicken burger. Then the staff turned around and asked the kitchen staff to make a Hawaiian Chicken burger. By the time I got my complete order it was 9:23pm. It took an hour for my order to come.

Every shift there would be a manager working which he/she will make sure that the orders are moving smoothly and hop-in to help out the staff if needed. Here, the orders took a long time to come. This basically means, either the manager wasn't doing his/her duties correctly or just wasn't capable enough for the job. Just to highlight it was a quiet night and no one was dine-in at that time in the restaurant. Just imagine if the place was packed, then everyone would have been waiting for hours...

Was very suprised at how good it was. Reminded me of hungry jacks 20 years ago. Quality burgers for fast food, can really tell the difference of fresh product compared to the other fast food places. Surprising quick even though drive through was packed. And I thought our meals were going to be really expensive however it was only slightly more than maccas or hungry jacks. The waffle fries are awesome and the super star burger hit the spot for me. My daughters loved their burgers and chicken and even the foster kids didn't complain. They all want to make Carl's Jr a weekly treat now.

The 2 lovely young ladies that served us made it even more enjoyable. Very friendly and happy. I had a few questions and they were happy to answer with a smile instead of making me feel like I was annoying them. These 2 young ladies made the experience even more enjoyable so I hope this store keeps up the great work and high quality service and food. Some places start out good and then slowly go downhill, hope Carl's Jr isn't one of them and my family and I will be back for sure.

Food highlights Chicken tenders and yummy ranch sauce, daughter loved it. Super star burger was great, will try something different next time though just because I think they have a lot to offer.

Stand out item was the cookies n cream shakes with whipped cream. Every single one of us loved them.

Honourable mention for the waffle fries.

Yesterday me & my husband went to melton branch to have our dinner, we always used to love Carl’s Jr and we came from a long distance because most of the branches are not available anymore, we ordered the 30$ meal which is 4 sandwiches and 4 small fries and 4 small soft drink, and we asked the lady who took the order to make all the 4 sandwiches veggie as we were fasting for our Orthodox easter and we are not allowed to eat meat or Chicken till the easter Eve, she told us there will be extra charge and we said ok how much she said 15$ so the whole meal will cost 45$ for veggie sandwiches!! While on our way we called Carl’s Jr on phone but not this branch because their number on google was out of service to check if we can make the meal with veggies before we go because it’s a long way and he told me the extra will be about range 5$ and more cents, and when we went to melton branch we paid 45$ which is ridiculous to pay all of that extra for no meat and no chicken, then when the food came out to be honest it was the worst veggie burger we had ever ate, we paid 45$ for nothing, it’s the worst food experience we had it before, honestly hungry jacks plant base whopper is the best ever as a taste and the price is much better and we regretted not to eat there and to chose Carl’s Jr instead, we were very disappointed and we are not happy at all with what happened yesterday, and we will think so many times now before choosing Carl’s Jr because we wasted our...
