After a long drive from South Australia on our way into Melbourne, we got very hungry. We saw this place on Google Maps & decided to try it as the reviews seemed really up there! We pulled into this industrial estate & immediately were struck by this colourful spot outside with egg & bacon images & so many cars pulled up right out the front. (Parking was a breeze, they have their own private car park.) We stepped inside and my oh my! The place was pumping, the atmosphere was sensational & the food that was in front of us was next level!
The people behind the counter were fast, but at the same time chatting to everyone & knew everybody by their first names, and were having good banter but working and serving in record time- (how they did this still blows my mind!) They were speedy, but did not make you feel at all like they just wanted customers in and out. They were literally having conversations with every single one of their customers that they were serving, but at the same time they were so fast and moving, - now that is efficient and the epitome of professional!! These guys sure know what they’re doing. It was full with tradies coming in and out & people dining in.
The built-in speakers in the ceiling were pumping out really cool tunes actually!- and everyone there just seemed happy. Whether it was the customer standing ready to be served, or the people working behind the counters…. it was all… just so happy and positive.
Our turn came, & the hot food section & salad bar were one of the best displays for a shop like this we’ve ever seen. Full to the brim, colourful & with just one look we nodded at each other & said yeppppp good choice coming here!!
The selections were crazy!; from burgers, to hot chips, to fish, to sausages to roast pork and what looked like lamb or beef roast also, to dim sims and potato cakes to even meals like a pasta and lasagne & some rice. Parma’s too. The salad bar had a selection of salads, wraps & paninis & option (like an old fashioned sandwich bar in the 80s that you wished there were more of!) to make your own and choose from the selection they had. The highlight that made our jaw drops were the look of their chicken schnitzels. Just sitting there gleaming at us right in the middle of that Bain Marie that made me want every single item in there. They say you eat with your eyes and boy did we ever!!! The bubbly lady behind the counter who seemed like the owner or the manager told us they were 100% fresh schnitzels & not that processed frozen fish finger type. They looked it I tell you! They were also huge & golden & looked very good in that crumbing coated all over. We didn’t resist trying these schnitzels so we opted putting it in one of their rolls and building it up in their salad bar as the lady suggested. We had the schnitzel roll with lettuce, cheese, tomato, onion, cucumber, jalapeños, roasted capsicum, olives, cheese, & mayo. We asked her to cut it in half because she was not wrong when she said you may have leftovers for the journey and cut it in half for us for this reason.
My partner had an egg bacon & cheese roll made to order & added grilled onion & mushrooms.
The food was ready and we sat in to eat…… (drumroll) … OH. MY. GOODNESS.
I have NO WORDS for that roll that i will never ever ever ever forget. It was the best thing I have ever had & it took me to cafe take away shop culinary places I have never been before. EPIC is an understatement & she knew what she was saying when said there would be leftovers. Two meals easilyyyyyy in that roll & worth every bloody dollar & more!!
The flavour bomb was incredible, the freshness was out of this world & the chicken… well what can I say.. thick, juicy, and the portion of crumb to chicken was the best I’ve ever had.
My partner on the other hand now wants to move to Melbourne for this egg and bacon roll concoction and hasn’t had anything like it in her life. The coffee that followed was a dream. Literally a dream!
SIMPLY CANT fault this place - excellent job keep up the FANTASTIC WORK & thank you for this...

We stumbled upon Rise and Dine quite by accident – a quick pit stop after dropping our car at a nearby garage. From the moment we walked in, we were charmed! The staff were incredibly welcoming, greeting everyone with genuine smiles and even remembering their regulars by name. Their friendly and attentive service truly set the tone for a delightful experience.
But the real star of the show? The food! We opted for the fish and chips, and wow, were we blown away. This wasn't your average fish and chips; this was next-level deliciousness. The fish was perfectly cooked, flaky and moist, and the chips were golden brown and crispy. It was simply amazing!
Rise and Dine is more than just a takeaway cafe; it's an experience. The energy and atmosphere are fantastic, creating a warm and inviting space. If you're ever in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't regret it! We highly recommend Rise and Dine – the food, the staff, the ambiance...it's all...
Read moreFood is wonderful, honestly. I would probably spend my week's wages there... However, you guys seriously need to consider some kind of structure to your service. Trying to buy something at 10am, or midday, feels like a Battlefield. I saw other customers walk out in frustration, just wanting to pay for a can of coke. They couldn't, because anyone can walk up and just demand attention and be served first. In some ways its great - if you're an *hole. If you have any sort of decency, or sense of politeness you get shafted aside. Seven people were served ahead of me in the matter of five minutes. I don't exactly get long breaks off work.
Apologies for the rant but it needs to be put into consideration; when customers come in and see a structured queue, although they may not like the wait, they will most likely still wait it out because they KNOW and SEE where they stand to be...
