At once I ordered the butter chicken from here, which was good. The sauce was creamy, smooth and the meat was cut into small, bite-size pieces. A great meat-to-sauce ratio. With that experience I thought that I should give this place a another try to write a more detailed review as I'll have more information, that was a correct choice I made.
The second time I visited I ordered the korma chicken and coconut rice. That was a complete and utter disappointment. The sauce in the korma chicken was quite thin and runny and the chicken wasn't cut into bite size pieces like before, it was just cut into 4 large chunks nor was it well Infused with the korma sauce; a complete opposite of the first time experience. The coconut rice was extremely dry, and flakey. $5 and all they did was sprinkle some store brought coconut shavings on top of cooked rice, and that's not the worst of it all. The coconut rice not only did it taste dry but strange as well, the rice was cooked through but was very rough in texture; it was later that I discovered that the rice wasn't fresh and mostly definitely has gone off.
I know that's quite a large claim I'm making, but the rice didn't taste like freshly cooked rice. Plus myself and anyone who ate the coconut rice have reported cases of heartburn and stomach aches. I experienced diarrhoea.
What's worse is that the texture of the rice just looks odd. That should've been a good indication that the food have gone off. Yet the chef thought that it was still good to serve to customers, are...
Read moreThe food here is really amazing and great quality! Although the dishes can be pretty expensive, it’s totally worth the price with the serving sizes. I got the goat curry and it was so beautifully tender that it completely fell off the bone. There was no issue of meat getting stuck between teeth because it melted away in my mouth! The sauce was thick and rich with just the right amount of salt. The bones were also cut very thick and had an amazing amount of marrow in them which I’ve yet to have in a goat curry! My partner got the butter chicken and it was also very good quality. The charring on the chicken was lovely and the sauce was penetrating deep into the meat. It was velvety smooth and exactly what a great butter chicken should be! The only issue with the food was that the saffron rice didn’t have a very even distribution of flavouring but other than that it was as good as rice can be taste wise. Our food was made very fast and the only issue I could see in the store was the lack of tables and an over abundance of chairs stacked near the front door. I could imagine on a busy night it might look less unappealing but with only one table seated it seemed a bit odd. Overall a really great spot to get good quality food that you should at least give a try! Don’t let the angry one star reviews by old people discourage you from eating a...
Read moreDONT EVER USE THIS ORGANISATION FOR A TAKEWAY FOOD OUTLET! More so, when you question so called Australian Citizens who deliberately wont communicate in English, find it easily in wanting to put the phone down on you when you question their service! This is after a service today 20.08.21, customers need to know their legal rights to honest service. As you can see, as per my previous review from last year, this organisation should duly be shut down. Tonight (15.10.20) have just seen the new price menu for this outlet. OMG! Considering the Covid19 pandemic, there are sole traders who are willing to exploit in an increase of price for takeaway to line their ‘greasy’ pockets at the expense of us. This outlet is fortunate to be able to operate under hospitality compared to other organisations, who are in total lockdown. But what an absolute cheek, for Curry Town to up their prices, while knowing they would already be claiming ‘Jobkeeper’ and any other government supports, to maintain their business. Therefore, where is the justification in their price increase? We all know why...financially exploiting the...
