Have always loved Dava Thai it's our local Thai shop and have never gone anywhere else. Yesterday I order myself and family some dinner, it not being cheap and all we obviously organise what we want before we call. Call up do my order was repeated back, get there the young lady who is very friendly (until she isn't) Reads out my order and charges me $95 I get home get dinner ready no rice I call up and she wants to have an argument about it because her stuff up is my fault, I go back in I understand mistakes are made but the way I was treated by her and staff out the back had to come out and cut her off because she was being so rude with holding rice telling me the charge was a $4 surcharge and that I didn't pay for the rice, telling me I have to pay for it and treating me like a dam criminal. The lovely older lady came out and looked after the situation was amazing handled herself very well considering the young staff member was rude as hell and talking over us and kept trying to continue an argument (I just wanted some dam rice) I finally got my rice went home to my whole meal completely cold and the taste of it just was not very nice considering I ordered it fresh. I'm so disheartened and usually don't let a bad experience stop me from going somewhere but if I'm not sure I want to. Over charge you make you pay $100 for 4 items and then tries to charge you extra for rice when that was already included in the total before hand....
Read moreWent with my son to try the $25 all you can eat. We were really hungry and more interested in trying a little of everything as opposed to a lot of not much variety which was what we were served. Atmosphere was nice and service was great but food (entrees in particular) tasted like it was frozen and microwaved. I am a big fan of traditional thai food and was very disappointed with what ended up on our table. We managed to eat a quarter of the four main meals that were presented to us before we decided we just couldn't eat anymore. The green curry was so sugary it was hardly palatable and the chicken was tough and chewy in all dishes. $25 price tag was good value if you are after an all you can eat experience but the food was generally meh....to be fair the place was well populated and everyone else seemed to be enjoying their meals but if you like an authentic Thai experience i...
Read moreOrdered through new app - difficult to use compared to other take away food apps. Was prompted to order due to text received about $10 off first order. Turns out you have to have superpowers to see where in the app you have to do extra steps to apply the discount (as is not automatically applied - although you wouldn’t know as no instructions were given). This has been a known issue with people not realising how to apply the discount and yet, funny, management are not worried about clarifying.. leaving customers feeling ripped off. Made special request in app for gluten free and no shrimp, received shrimp so have to assume did not get gf. Clearly staff do not read the special requests. Noodles slimy/mushy and inedible anyway. Save yourself the bother and...
