Best part was the friendliness of the atm attendant when i strangely had to go ask to withdraw money after inserting my card then the attendant came and used an eftpos machine behind the terminal to prompt the atm to release money . An unusual practice i've not come across before . The downside, in the bistro stood at the 'to pay counter' for some time whilst a blonde young untrained in lots of areas(self professed to the asian female some time later but said she can do bar ! ) also stared aimlessly into the kitchen as if waiting for a staff member to appear to take my order . I said can u get someone to take my order please . Then as if a split personality came over her suddenly she said what do you want ! I asked what meat the roast consisted of ? she had to look for the asian woman to ask . I decided on the roast lamb and whilst it arrived in sufficient time all of meal was only luke warm . Most unappetizing . The asian woman picked up my plate not uttering a word . Overall not a place i'd return to . Management , my suggestion, re train staff starting from basic skills . Staff, my suggestion , Smile enjoy ur jobs and if you dont like it find another vocation. I do feel sorry for the owner or manager because the frontline ( staff) can either cruel a business or make it an absolute success story. Management I'm sure you will say this style of comment is a first and im no stranger to that style of reply. All the best with...
Read moreIt's such as shame that this hotel employs a barman that hates his job so much. That he feels it necessary to makes patrons experience terrible. This is supposed to be one of my local pubs.....and I'll put this as politely as I can. The barman working Wednesday the 30th of August, I've had the unfortunate pleasure of being served by multiple times. He never smiles, is abrupt, seems annoyed by customers, you ask something basic and you get a very short sarcastic answer. Myself and friends have actually walked in there, seen that he's working and actually turned around and walked out. In case you're wondering what he looks like to avoid him. He's a little overweight balding and never smiles. Seems to have a problem with Asians, as he harrased to Asian gentleman who were minding their business and decided in a near empty pub to demand one of them that clearly looked like an adult, to produce ID or leave. After quite a bit of back and fro, that man went out to his car and came back with his passport.......such a shame as it is a nice pub, the bistro do far better meals then the pub/bar. Just avoid this guy that works here often like the plauge. Just heard him tell a customer not to complain for asking for some sauce with their bowl of fries.....🙄🙄Photo...
Read moreI attended here for group dinner on a Friday night. I have eaten here for years but the quality of food seems to have improved dramatically. These comments were echoed by my companions. The only negative part of the night was that when I entered the front door, venue securitystaff member refused me entry as I had with me an Assistance Dog. My dog was wearing his bright yellow coat, was on lead and I even produced the accreditation card for my dog and I. I tried to explain that to deny me entry with my dog was discrimination under state and commonwealth law, but the staff member kept telling me that didn't matter because it was the hotel policy. I had to demand to see the manager (Karli?) who immediately took charge, apologised for the mistake and told the security staff he was wrong. While the manager was excellent it is unbelievable that 30 year old laws about discrimination are still ignored by some staff in customer service roles. The crowd controller needs to retrained or dismissed from the role. While the manager apologised profusely and I appreciate her efforts, the crowd controller certainly made no apology, which I think would have been appropriate. All other staff were very good and I appreciated...
