Worst delivery experience ever!
I ordered 7pm delivery on 15th July 2021, but it came 40 minutes earlier. The pizzas will be cold when all our family is at home, so I rang up the store and asked what happened. The lady on the phone was very rude and said "we are so busy today and we didn't look at the delivery time. Sorry, but we can't deliver again." So they said they will pick up the pizzas and refund. The delivery guys came back to pick them up, but the promised refund has not been processed even after 3 days. What a scam. Don't even think about ordering from there!
(Review updates) On 18th July (Sunday) at 8:46pm, I received a call from the owner of the shop. He did not apologize for what happened, but he complained and asked why I wrote a bad review on Google. Here is what he said: "If you receive the delivery 40 minutes earlier, why don't you just heat up when you eat it?", "You should support the local business" and other rude statements. The worst thing is that he saw my review and looked up their order history and used my personal information to call my mobile, just to make a disappointed customer feel even worse by telling me off. I am now really worried that he has all my other personal information including physical address and email address. I will never know what he might do with it, especially when he has already used my personal information just to make himself feel better. Now I will have to check my security camera at home and get ready to lodge a formal complaint to the Consumer Affairs Victoria in case the situation gets worse. Misuse (including unauthorized use) of personal information is extremely serious problem, especially when customer's privacy has to be protected even by "local business".
This is what really happened and I just want everyone to know what may happen when you write a bad review for this shop on Google.
It is quite laughable that the owner of Gio's Pizza says this is a fake review on his reply, but I have all the evidence kept digitally including call records and so on. I will never go back to the shop and do not wish to hear from them ever again, but if necessary, I am ready to give all the information I have to the relevant authorities and media.
As of 29th July, the refund has not been processed yet.
(Review updated on 9th October) The shop did not process the refund, so I had to go through annoying process on my credit card company to receive the money back and finally it was refunded on 26th September. Seriously, the owner of the restaurant is not trustworthy and the shop is not worth paying...

I was impressed with this pizza shop, main chef was putting generous amount of ingredients, and taste has been good all the time.
I've ordered a vegetarian pizza today (30/12/2021) around 5:50pm under William's name and picked up around 6:10pm ish.
Everything was good but some parts were missing cheese and crust bit was a bit wider than usual (due to missing sauce & cheese).
Called up to check if chef is changed (as I have seen other guys were making pizza time to time), wasn't looking for anything like refund or complaint, just wanted to know what happened (we already consumed half of pizza at that time).
We liked pizza so much for years, so wanted to give them a constructive feedback if that's possible. Lady (assuming main chef's mom) told us that they have been there for years, and if we don't like we can go other places.
We never said anything like "we don't like", what we have said is "today, it seems like some area of pizza was missing some cheese & sauce, just wanted to check if anything changed"
Then we were told to other places....
I truly loved your pizza so much and still like it although some sauce & cheese were missing, but I am unable to come again as you told me to go other places.
Don't really know what we have done wrong, I believe customers have right to say what they feel or have tasted from their shop. I still like pizzas from there, so if anyone reading this article, pizza taste is good. and generally customer service is okay at there too.
However today's experience was rather shocking.... We called them while we were still having pizza and couldn't eat anymore after Lady told us to go other places.
I feel just sad with this pizza shop, I am not upset anything like that...
   Read moreWe have been loyal and regular customers for nearly 3 years but no more. Last delivery took about 90mins and arrived to find the order was wrong. Ok no biggie, it can happen. Order at 626pm today and still waiting at 745pm. Website said it was due to be delivered at 721pm and was on the way. Tried ringing store, rang out 5 times then started going straight to message bank. Decided to drive to store. Called again on the way and got through. Very abrupt man on the phone said it would be another 20 mins as it was in the oven. That makes it nearly 2hours (8pm by the time I got through on the phone.) Questioned why it was taking so long and he became aggressive and plain rude. Asked if I wanted to cancel. I asked how long it would take to get money back and was told 2 days. Told him to go ahead with order but we won't be back. I was told that's fine we won't take any more orders for your address and he terminated the call. My husband called back to cancel order, told fine and they hung up on him too. Not sure what has happened there, but not the service we have been receiving and if everyone gets treated this way, they won't be around for long. Yes it's busy but Xmas hasn't snuck up on us, you need to plan for it and give accurate wait times. A snippet of good customer service wouldn't go...
