Grounded Grocer and Cafe - Endeavour Hills Grounded Grocer and Cafe in Endeavour Hills is a charming spot that combines the best of local grocery shopping with a relaxed café experience. Nestled in a cozy corner of the suburb, this place offers a welcoming atmosphere whether you're popping in for your weekly essentials or looking for a place to enjoy a quiet coffee. Ambiance & Vibe: The café has a warm and inviting vibe, with a mix of rustic and modern décor that makes it feel like a community hub. It’s not overly large, but the space is well-utilized, offering a mix of tables, both inside and outside, where you can relax and enjoy your food. The added bonus is the attached grocery store, which is stocked with high-quality, locally sourced produce, pantry staples, and specialty items that appeal to health-conscious shoppers. Food & Drink: Grounded Grocer and Cafe offers a varied menu, from breakfast options like avocado toast and fresh baked goods to hearty lunch dishes, sandwiches, and salads. The quality of food is top-notch — everything is fresh and made to order. The café takes pride in supporting local producers, so you can taste the difference in the ingredients. Their coffee is well-brewed, with options for different tastes, and they often have some great seasonal specials. Service: The staff here are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Whether you're asking about an ingredient in the grocery section or ordering something from the café menu, you’ll find the team is eager to help. Service can get a bit slower during peak hours, but it's always friendly and patient. Overall: Grounded Grocer and Cafe is a hidden gem in Endeavour Hills. It’s perfect for a quick breakfast, a casual coffee break, or even just picking up some fresh produce. The combination of a local grocer with a café creates a unique, convenient experience for customers, and the focus on quality makes it stand out in the area. If you’re in the neighborhood, it’s worth a visit!

FOOD SAFETY ALERT. I purchased some items through uber eats. The eggs were 3 days past their best before date. No one wants to feed off food to their kids. Bread was also off. Their bread, eggs and milk are overpriced. When people pay extra for apparently "special" produce, you expect it to not be past the best before date. I do online shopping all the time and am never in this situation. I recall trying to glance for a use-by date on the top where it usually is but saw nothing. It was when I made a boiled egg that tasted horrible that I realised there was something up with it. When you can see the date of what you purchased, you realise its off. Imagine the food that you purchase without the date explicitly specified such as eggs on toast. Sickening. I also agree with Tam below. Chips come out covered in herbs and bread can look like it has been cooked with other items.

Just discovered this place in a quiet suburban street. It has great coffee and friendly staff. The food was a little over priced for what was served. We ordered the Mr Benedict - two poached eggs, grilled spinach, hashbrowns and hollandaise (no toast, that’s extra) and the spicy fried chicken wrap with spinach, onion, tomato and mayo with chips. I didn’t mind the egg Benedict although it was a little heavy handed on the salt. The spicy chicken wrap was underwhelming and scarce on filling for $24. But most disappointed with the cold chips! The cafe was not busy and for prices paid we expected fresh hot chips at the very least. Overall will come back just for their coffee but not to dine again.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience in your cafe today. My daughter and I came in for lunch. We were initially served by a lovely young man who took our order for coffees first while we then surveyed the menu for lunch. At that time there was only one other couple seated and they had already been served. The cafe then became a little busier and the male waiter became busy, so the female waitress came over and took our order for lunch which was for two toasties (one standard and one loaded). At that time we felt that she came across as disinterested and blunt. We waited patiently for our order but started to notice that everyone else in the cafe were being served and we were still waiting. When the female waitress passed us we ask her if ours would be long and she just said ‘it’ll be soon’! We watched her and although she went back to the counter she did not even bother to check in with the kitchen to find out the status of our order. We waited another 10 minutes (by this time we had been there for well over an hour). The young male waiter passed by so I asked him if he wouldn’t mind going and checking to see how far off our order was. He was genuinely surprised and concerned when he realized that we still hadn’t received our order. He went straight away to investigate and then came straight back to ask us what we ordered. We then realized that clearly they hadn’t even made a start on our order…. and didn’t even know what our order was!! We went up to the counter and questioned the female waitress and she said that she didn’t take our order!! We told her that she did. (We remembered her because of her initial attitude at the time of taking our order). We stated how disappointed we were and that we haven’t even received an apology and she replied with ‘well I’m sorry’ which we felt was sooo in genuine! We also spoke to the girl behind the till and she was very polite and waived the cost of our coffees and apologized. We left frustrated, very disappointed and...

Hmmm I definitely think I’m easily pleased with food and have only ever complained once before this at another place (and that was because I had food poisoning) but unfortunately I have to say I was genuinely shocked at the quality and price of my breakfast, cute place but probably the worst breakfast I’ve had out. I literally ordered two poached eggs (which I could probably do a better job and I don’t know how to poach eggs), the world’s hardest sour dough that shook the table as I tried to cut through it and a splatter of what I believe was supermarket avocado dip (had a dark green consistency/not fresh at all). And it cost me a whopping $23…I could’ve made it for $4 at home and it would’ve been a million times better. The staff were friendly so I’ll give them that, however didn’t have the guts to tell them how below average it was. My friend ordered the spicy chicken wrap consisting of dry chicken and fry wrap bread. Unfortunately not much choice in brunch spots in Endeavour Hills but you might as well drive a bit further and find somewhere that’s worth your money. ALSO the prices on the website are inaccurate… says $12 for 2 eggs and sourdough but menu in the cafe says $18. I get it times are tough but at least put some care and love into the food for...
