Harding's Burger Joint Brunswick — Restaurant in Melbourne

Unfortunately my review is a 2 star review. From past experience I know the quality of food is impeccable but on my last few occasions ordering from here I have had a consistent issue. The order is accepted and confirmed and the restaurant has begun preparing it shortly after, however the gap between when the food is prepared and when it is picked up by a delivery driver and delivered has been well over an hour after food preparation begun, resulting in the food arriving cold and inedible and instead of landing in my stomach, it lands in the bin. I feel like I can’t blame the restaurant on this as I am fairly certain it is a fault of the delivery partners. I have had this happen with Menulog, Uber Eats and DoorDash and as a result I no longer have any confidence in ordering food from here via any of these delivery services. I would recommend to anyone who does not want to encounter this same issue to opt for pickup rather than delivery. Seriously good! I ordered from these guys randomly and am impressed. These guys don't muck around! My burger had roasted capsicum, tangy BBQ sauce, red onions, a decent patty and a really nicely toasted bun (and other things). I really enjoyed it. Totally worth it. I paid $15 and this price is justified (compared to Maccas or Hungry Jacks, or even Grill'd) I'll probably try this place again, but I am compelled to write this review because I went in with low expectations and was blown away. I used to make my own burgers and would put a lot of time into constructing and designing them. This burger reminded me of the very best burgers I'd make for myself when trying to go the extra mile for a total premo meal. We’ve been ranking Harding’s as our number 1 burger place since a long time ago. We don’t have burgers often, but when we do, Harding’s is where we get our burgers from. We’ve tried the Dynamite, Fried Bird, Hello Mate, Hardy’s Chick, Disco Chicken, Haloumi Veg burgers and absolutely love every single one of them. The hot jam donuts are very fluffy and delicious. Hardy fries is a must have for us - the cheese and gravy are the best in Melbourne. The service and care provided by the staff and owner are absolutely 5-star.
