Healesville Thai Kitchen — Restaurant in Melbourne

Went to this place as it had 4.5 start rating so we expected it to be good, first off the waitress took our order there were 7 of us we all order a pad noodles but different combination from veg to chicken to seafood, we repeated the order 3 times to make sure there is no mix up and surely enough we ended up with 1 extra plate, I knew this would happen. The pad Thai was terrible it was very very sweet not like other thai restaurants and could not be eaten, we ordered 2 coconut rice which was also terrible, it was sticky and very wet and again very very sweet not like other places...they added extra coke to the bill and realized it was a mistake, it took way too long to get the meals and it came out 1 at a time so when the first person finished the 4th one came out, overall not up to expectations all the plates were to sweet and no one finished their meals...the owner did deduct the extra meal that came out by mistake but really should of refunded a further 2 pad thais that were not eaten. Very different to the thai places in the melbourne CBD and surrounding suburbs. Will not be back here, can't beleive it has a 4.5 star rating...

Twice disappointed with service - Went to leave 50mins after being seated when we had needed to chase staff for a chance to order and STILL hadn't received drinks (let alone meals!) Young male waiter was very apologetic and gave us a $60 dining voucher hoping we'd return and give them a second chance...which we did. After making a booking and mentioning the voucher, we ordered and ate, and were presented with $85 bill. We provided our $60 voucher and were told by the owner/boss that it wasn't valid because the signature on it wasn't hers and she was the only one authorised to issue vouchers. We explained that we had no way of knowing such things and that her staff had issued the voucher to us for previous poor service, and also that we would not have come back if not for the voucher. She continued to argue that it wasn't valid and that she couldn't afford to give us the $60 off. In the end, we were given $15 off and had to pay $70 when we'd expected to pay $25. A disappointing outcome because the food is lovely but we won't be going back for that...

Absolutely pathetic. Quoted 45-50 minutes for a pickup order and it took at least twice that long. My fiancee and friend arrived to collect the food after the quoted 50 minutes and were made to wait more than an additional hour! When they queried when the food would be ready, the staff lied to their faces saying multiple times "10 more minutes" and "they're cooking it now". When the food was finally ready, they were not prepared to offer anything approaching appropriate compensation.

After my fiancee and friend returned with the food which was unimpressive and included an inedible roti bread, I phoned the restaurant to give my feedback and asked to speak to a manager or owner. I was given the runaround by staff and told the following lies - "the owner is overseas" and when I pressed the issue - "the owner will call you back in 30 minutes". Unsurprisingly I am still awaiting a call.

My suggestion is to save your precious time and money, and spend your money at a business that respects...
