Over the last 12 months this branch have consistently failed to meet the absolute bare minimum of ensuring an order is fulfilled correctly. Food quality and customer service are completely different topics.
A few weeks ago I placed an order via the app which I picked up via drive through. Given the numerous instances of wrongly fulfilled orders I made sure to tell the staff at the drive through speaker to ensure my order is double and triple as it is always wrong. At the window I saw two staff members taking my food in and out of the paper bag checking against the receipt that it was all correct. But guess what? Upon reaching home I discovered there was a potato gravy missing, sauce missing and 1 piece chicken missing. I was so disappointed I didn’t bother calling and left a review on the app when their usual app prompts came through. I didn’t think it would go anywhere but a week or two later me a manager called me and I thought “hey, that’s a good sign”. I explained the branches decline to her and she offered me a store credit, to which I declined as I’d given up on KFC Tullamarine but had hoped the feedback would be relayed back to the staff.
A few weeks went past and I decided to give them a chance again, instead of driving further to Keilor Road. Again we ordered through the app, a simple Cheap as Chips. And guess what? It was wrong!!! Again 1 piece chicken missing and ZERO nuggets instead of 6. This time I called straight away. The solution was for me to come back, wasting my time and fuel to correct their mistake. Why? If they do delivery why can’t they come and deliver to me what they failed to supply? As a consumer I pay for goods and a service. If I do not receive either of those it is not my responsibility to rectify the issue.
It seems like KFC’s strategy is to employ young, incompetent staff. I would be VERY interested to know what training staff go through here. And when mistakes are made, the solution is to hand out “store credits” - and what do store credits mean? It means the money stays in KFC’s pocket and forces a consumer to return back to them.
These guys are stealing our hard earned money and consistently short changing us. Not good enough KFC. Beyond appalling, disgusting and pathetic. Thank you for wasting my time in talking to a manager, it made no...
Read moreOrdered $68 worth of KFC tonight. Did a phone app order to speed things up. I sat in the drive thru for over 40 minutes. Ended up turning off my car engine 4 times as we were all just sitting there. More like a car park than a drive thru. Finally got to to the window but waited 10 minutes before they acknowledged me. I complained about the wait and and asked them to throw in something extra. They said that they gave me some extra chicken and handed over my order. They placed everything in one big bag. The bag couldn’t fit through my car window as it was overflowing. I had just mentioned how it would have been better to place the order in two bags as the girl who was serving me shoved the bag in my car window. The bag broke and the maxi box of popcorn chicken fell all over me, my steering wheel and all over the floor, under my accelerator and brake peddles. I had no choice but to ask for another popcorn chicken and try and pick up all of the spilt chicken on the floor. My hands, steering wheel and clothes were all oily. When I finally got home, I got out of the car and tried to juggle the overflowing broken bag full of KFC only to have the new box of popcorn chicken fall out and spill all over the floor of my garage. I took a deep breath and sat down with my family to eat our KFC dinner. The chicken pieces looked darker than usual. Upon our first bite of chicken we all looked at each other in disgust as the chicken was burnt and under seasoned and dry. Not at all edible. No wonder they threw in extra chicken! I told the kids that there were chips and nuggets. Apart from one large chips and the 4 sauces missing, the chips were also burnt and dry and…. the nuggets were undercooked and soggy. In frustration I called KFC Tullamarine and spoke to Monica, the manager and explained my experience. She said that they were supposed to change over the oil today but they couldn’t because it was such a hot day. I told her the the food was not edible and then requested a refund. She took my details and told me I would get an email which would allow me, upon presentation at the register, to get the refund on my next visit. I am still waiting for the email! I cannot believe that they were still cooking food in the dirty, burnt oil and selling it to unsuspecting customers. Unethical...
Read moreI am in absolute disgust. This KFC has given me a straight punch to the stomach. Let me run you through our day before we get started. It was a chilly morning and I was unwell with a snotty nose and a sore throat. It was my birthday weekend and my friends Scott Jowett and Matthew Milburn were coming to my house. We went to bounce for the day to have fun and jump on the bouncy trampolines. Afterwards I wanted to treat myself as it is my birthday weekend so I went to KFC with my 2 friends Scott Jowett and Matthew Milburn and also my step mum and 2 little sisters. We walk into the KFC at Tullamarine and everything goes normally at first. We use the touch screens to order our food and then when we try to pay it says error. We try over and over again to buy the food on the screen and it doesn't work. Then, we tell the person behind the counter that its not working and he then says that not even the register is working so he can't take our order himself. SO WE HAVE TO SAY THE ORDER OUT LOUD TO THE GUY BEHIND THE COUNTER AND HE MAKES OUR FOOD ONE BY ONE AND THEN HAVE TO PAY ON A CARD READER. food was alr but just a shocking...
