I’ve been to plenty of McDonald’s in my time, but I can confidently say that this particular location is by far the worst I’ve ever encountered. From stale, cold food to inattentive and rude staff, everything about this place screams “We don’t care!”—and trust me, it shows.
Let’s start with the food, the supposed heart of the McDonald’s experience. Fast food doesn’t need to be gourmet; we all understand that. It just needs to be fresh, hot, and consistent. Unfortunately, this location can’t even get that right. When I finally received my order (more on that horrendous wait time later), the fries were a sad, stale mess—lukewarm at best and tasting as though they’d been sitting under a heat lamp for half the day. They were dry, limp, and completely inedible. The burger? Don’t even get me started. The bun was hard, like it had been left out overnight, the meat patty was barely warm, and the toppings were lazily thrown together. The cheese wasn’t even melted. This wasn’t fast food—it was stale food, and it was a total insult to my wallet and my taste buds.
Now, let’s move on to the staff, who seemed entirely uninterested in doing their jobs. Customer service here is non-existent. From the moment I walked in, I felt like an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. The staff behind the counter appeared more interested in chatting among themselves and checking their phones than actually serving anyone. Eye contact? Forget it. A simple smile or polite greeting? Out of the question. When I placed my order, I was met with a tone that made it clear they’d rather be anywhere else than at work.
And let’s talk about how long I had to wait for this stale, sad excuse for a meal. It’s McDonald’s—fast service is supposed to be part of the appeal. Yet, I stood waiting for what felt like forever, watching staff fumble around in complete disarray. It was chaos behind the counter, with no sense of urgency or organization. People who ordered after me were somehow served before I was, and when I finally received my bag, there wasn’t even an apology for the delay.
Of course, when I got home and realized my order was wrong—because yes, they even managed to mess that up—I was beyond furious. Missing items, incorrect items, and the total lack of care in preparation made me question how this place is even allowed to operate.
In conclusion, this McDonald’s location fails on every level: stale, disgusting food; staff that couldn’t care less about their customers; and an overall experience that was an absolute waste of time and money. If you’re thinking of eating here, do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. McDonald’s may be a global giant, but this location is a complete embarrassment to the brand. Avoid it...
Read moreI recently visited my local McDonald’s, and I must say, it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I rarely leave reviews, but this visit was so disappointing that I feel compelled to share my experience.
To start, when I walked in, the atmosphere was chaotic. I understand it’s a fast-food restaurant, but I still expect a certain level of organization and professionalism. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. The staff seemed completely uninterested in providing good service, and it all went downhill from there.
I ordered a 10-piece nugget meal and specifically asked for table service, which is something McDonald’s now advertises in many locations. However, not only did I not receive table service, but no one even bothered to call out my order when it was ready. I had to stand around the counter like a lost customer, waiting for someone to acknowledge me. When I finally asked about my order, the employee simply pointed to a bag sitting off to the side, clearly having been left there for several minutes.
When I got back to my table, I discovered my chicken nuggets were cold. Not lukewarm—cold. They clearly had been sitting out for too long, and the texture was all wrong. The fries were stale too, which honestly just added insult to injury. I didn’t even bother asking for replacements because, based on the lack of attention to detail from the staff, I doubted they’d get it right the second time.
Speaking of the staff, the team working in the back looked anything but professional. There were people yelling and laughing loudly, and one of them wasn’t even wearing proper uniform attire. It felt more like a group of disinterested teenagers hanging out than a team running a business. One employee looked visibly under the influence, slurring words and moving sluggishly while handling orders. I don’t know if this location does any sort of background checks or training, but the lack of professionalism from the staff is shocking.
Overall, this visit left me with a very negative impression of McDonald’s. I understand this is fast food and not fine dining, but even fast food establishments should adhere to basic standards of customer service, food quality, and cleanliness. This location failed on all fronts. Cold food, no table service, and an unprofessional team made the experience feel like a complete waste of money.
If McDonald’s wants to maintain its reputation as a reliable fast-food option, they need to seriously reevaluate how they’re staffing and managing this location. Based on this visit, I’ll be taking my...
Read moresadly maccas knows They don't have to treat customers with respect because they're a big name.
Absolutely disgraceful behaviour from a male manager.
I was Parked in waiting bay for 15minutes. I had to go inside (clearly frustrated because I had 3 young children in the car falling asleep while I watched atleast 10 cars leave with there food)
He immediately attacked me. And wanted to have a stand off about who was in the wrong. He then insulted me when I had said I've worked at maccas and fast food most my life and you shouldn't clear an order until it is handed out, he replied with was it even in the last decade because things have changed and thought this was exceptable behaviour. He also refused to apologize for the mistake and did not handle this the correct way. For a manager to behave in this way is disgusting. They should be role models to younger staff. Regardless it I came in angry or not. I had a right to be angry.
In my business- customer is always right and we would of been understanding and apologized and told the customer that we understand why there upset and were so sorry for this over sight. We would of offered a refund and the food. Witch he wouldn't admit any fault. The young girl in drive thru was trying to apologize for the mistake but he wouldn't allow her too. Stating everyone makes mistakes. Witch I agree with we do. But it still needs to be handled with in the correct way. If I had of got the guys number I would make a formal complaint to head office.
I usually don't like to go to this store because they tend to make alot of mistakes and forget items. But Nunawading store was...
