I recently came down from Melbourne and was eager to visit this spot. The place had an impressive selection of baked goods, ranging from freshly baked breads and buttery croissants to decadent cakes, savory pies, and pizzas

We decided to try the pizza, chicken pie, and white chocolate orange cake.

The service was excellent, while there was a bit of a rush as we were making our decisions, the server was incredibly patient and attentive.

The pizza was an absolute standout. The crust was the perfect balance of chewy and crisp, and the toppings were full of flavor. It was a well-executed pizza that didn’t rely on excessive ingredients but rather focused on quality and balance. Every bite was packed with flavor, and I was definitely impressed with the level of care that went into making it.

The chicken pie was another highlight. The pastry was light and flaky, and the filling had a beautifully aromatic flavor. The combination of chicken, bacon, and leek was rich and comforting, but not too heavy.

Originally, we ordered the strawberry chocolate cake, but unfortunately, by the time our order was being prepared, it had sold out. While we were a bit disappointed, the staff were super apologetic and went above and beyond by offering us a complimentary brownie. I really appreciated this thoughtful gesture, it’s not every day that you get such excellent customer service. The brownie itself was a treat: rich, soft, and fudgy, with just the right amount of chocolate. If you're a fan of chocolate, it's a must-try.

We also had the white chocolate orange cake, which was a delightful surprise. The cake was incredibly moist, and the pairing of orange and white chocolate was a perfect match. The orange provided a refreshing citrusy zing that complemented the creamy sweetness of the white chocolate, making for a flavorful and satisfying dessert.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience at this place. Can’t wait...

I used to be a local regular here but will no longer visit. They were always able to explain that the items “may contain” traces of peanuts and nuts and now, according to a worker this morning, everything has nuts inside…not may contain traces but everything literally has nuts inside as an ingredient, including danishes that I ate even a few days prior with no nuts but only the possibility of cross contamination. I have eaten at countless bakeries around the world, especially in Melbourne and have never visited a bakery where absolutely everything has nuts inside. May contain traces is one thing, but to now actually include nuts is absurd and not required in many bakery items. For example, danishes, lime tarts, focaccia, pies and bread do not traditionally contain nuts. Trendy place with not much food knowledge since changing their kitchen staff it seems. Disappointing as it was my go to in the area since it opened, when they used to say things could be exposed and may contain traces to now actually including nuts in everything is ridiculous. This is also dangerous for people that try to order items that in most other bakeries, will not have nuts as ingredients inside. People with nut allergies on peninsula are 100% better off at Johnny Ripe and Au Croissanterie where they know that only some items contain nuts and the rest have a possibility, but do not actually contain nuts like here. So, everything really does have nuts inside or the staff member lied to me…either way, completely...

Don’t waste your time or your money. This place was incredibly overhyped on social media. I was hopeful for an enjoyable experience here, however was very quickly disappointed. After seeing positive reviews online about the chicken sandwich, I decided to take a trip down the coast to check it out. However upon arrival, couldn’t see the chicken sandwich anywhere, we asked if it was available and the staff were very rude with an abrupt no! This was quite shocking given it was lunchtime on a Monday. Since we had come such a long way we decided to select other items from the very limited menu as there was barely anything left. We were told to take a seat, to which we came across a couple empty tables with stacks of dishes that hadn’t been cleared, we had to clear them ourselves to take a seat. My pizza came out only half warmed and my partners pie was the same. For a hard and crusty pizza I was given a butter knife and a bent fork. As for the atmosphere and amenities, there’s no bathroom available for customers, pretty disappointing for customers that drove a long way. And finally, the seats were stained and a screw was left on the ground next to my table, a major OH&S risk. Overall don’t let reviews on social media fool you as I was, I certainly won’t be...

As soon as my eyes landed on the poached chicken focaccia, it called out to me and I’m so very glad it did, because it’s the best focaccia I’ve ever had - and I’ve had so many, from some of the most hyped up joints in Melbourne. The chicken was so juicy and tender (appreciated the chunky cuts!), the pesto mayo was light and flavourful, and the feta helped make it delicate and creamy, the little hits of capers were a fun addition and cut through nicely, the lettuce was bright green, fresh and crisp and the lightly picked, thinly sliced zucchini made an already excellent combo even better! Of course, being expert bakers, the focaccia itself was also perfectly baked - so light, soft and fluffy with a golden crust topped with what I think was a mild parmesan, while never getting soggy from gently holding all of its delicious contents together. I savoured every bite and didn’t want it to end - I’ve been thinking about it all day, and it’s probably a meal I’ll keep remembering fondly for a very long time to come - please never stop making it! We also had an excellent mince beef pie with a tomato relish that was wonderfully spiced! Such a warm, friendly and cosy space. If I’m ever anywhere remotely near the area, I’ll be making sure to stop by! ✨

It’s near faultless here at Miller’s and it’s easily one of the most interesting places in the area. Don’t let the bland street presence and quirky parking area fool you. It’s part of the charm. The place has a gritty industrial vibe when you enter. It’s hipster but comfortingly so and not at all OTT. This is a top notch modern bakery. They certainly know what they’re doing. The bread is spectacularly good. We come here for that alone. It’s absolutely delicious, particularly the sourdough. Best in the area by miles and miles. Some of the focaccias have to be tried to be believed too. They are that good. The flavour they get into some of them is incredible. One of these toasted needs to be ranked by the tourist authority as one of the key highlights of the Peninsula. The coffee is very tidy too. The cakes mighty delicious as well. The service is efficient and friendly too. Miller’s is a gem. We keep going back and will keep doing so. Regularly.
