3.5 stars – A solid, no-frills stay with some standout comforts and a few let-downs

This is your classic Aussie “drive-up-to-the-door” style motel, but the owners have clearly invested in a modern facelift. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the room itself was spacious and clean. I appreciated thoughtful touches like full blackout curtains—though oddly, the kitchen window wasn’t covered, which let in early morning light.

The bathroom, unfortunately, let the experience down. Black mould around the shower was off-putting, and the toiletries hadn’t been refreshed since the last guest. The large warning sign on the bathroom wall also created a less-than-relaxing atmosphere. I get it plumbing costs are expensive but this is over the top.

Wifi worked reliably and the location was convenient. However if traffic noise bothers you, it could be a problem. There was no spa bath as advertised, and the kitchen amenities were quite limited.

Overall, a decent stay if you’re after basic comfort, but there’s room for improvement—especially in the bathroom cleanliness and accuracy of...

First and foremost, the bathroom.. There was a black and brown substance coating the exhaust fan, located under the bath faucet and upon further inspection in/around the overflow drain of the basin. When these concerns were brought up with one of the male staff who I’ll refrain from naming I was met with what in my personal opinion was an attitude of disregard and arrogance. He offered no apology or form of remediation and instead tried to make excuses to the tone of I shouldn’t expect a completely clean room as it’s a motel. Further more in my opinion he became increasingly hostile and aggressive when I pressed the issues further rather than accept his poor excuses.

Moving on from the bathroom, there were a couple of spiders (daddy long legs) located in the bathroom and main room.

I get motels aren’t meant to be a 5-star resort but for a 4-star motel that charges $180 a night for the room we stayed in it’s safe to say we were incredibly disappointed with our stay.

Pictures of my concerns...

Nice and Cozy place for a short stay. The room was exactly as advertised. Spacious and clean. The facilities offered were all perfect. There is a bar and a separate dining table and a small kitchen nook which made it all so easy to relax and unwind. The bathroom was super clean and spacious. The windows come with thick blinds so you are not disturbed by any sort of light from outside. There is a small and cute sharing balcony to sit. The beach is not that far and at a walking distance. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. We did a hassle free late check in around 5pm. There is an outdoor bbq place and sitting area, we didnt use it but i saw a lovely couple enjoying making bbq there. There is ample parking. The elevator was a bonus point.

Disliked · The location is near a main road so you might get a lot of traffic noise early in the morning when it gets busy. If you are a light sleeper it might get annoying. At night there was not much noise so not...

Our home for 2 days. Will definitely book again. When we arrived the staff already have our details so check in was super quick and easy. The staff were friendly, even the housekeeper that we greet every morning. We booked the premium queen room which was clean, and have full amenities to make our stay feel like home. The room comes with a super comfy bed, wifi, hair-dryer, spa bath, split system aircon, mini fridge, coffee machine, microwave, smart TV, toaster, kettle, crockery, and culteries. The set up is functional with a small couch, dining table, and breakfast bar for you to have a coffee, a light meal, or work on. Outside the room, the basic outdoor set is ready for you to enjoy some fresh air. There are plenty of onsite parking and the motel is walking distance to the beautiful and peaceful safety beach. And if you want to stroll a little further, within 1km there are plenty of local shops and restaurants to grab a meal.
