Located at Shop 6, 346 Belmore Rd, Balwyn, One Thai Restaurant serves up authentic Thai food with rich flavours, generous portions, and consistently positive reviews from locals and visitors alike. During my visit, I ordered the Red Duck Curry (Gang Pet Bet Yang) which was a revelation, rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced with roasted duck, basil, pineapple, and bamboo shoots in creamy coconut curry sauce. It’s clear they’ve mastered the blend of sweet, spicy, and savoury notes that distinguish a great Thai curry . Next, I tried the char kway teow, and it did not disappoint. The flat rice noodles were delicately wok-fired with prawns, bean sprouts, Chinese sausage, and chives, delivering that signature "wok hei" charred aroma and satisfying depth of flavour. I also sampled the fish cakes (4 pcs), which were superb, crispy on the outside, tender and flavourful inside, and served with a sweet chilli dipping sauce that enhanced each bite perfectly. Service was friendly and attentive, staff were knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. The venue is bright and welcoming, and with generous portion sizes at reasonable prices, it’s a reliable spot for Thai comfort food in the eastern suburbs.

I have only eaten in the restaurant once & had delicious food & excellent friendly service. I am gradually exploring the Take Away menu & am loving all I'm ordering. The food is absolutely delicious, fragrant, fresh & a good sized serving. They are open 5pm to 10pm Tue to Sun which can be very handy for a late meal. Their prices are reasonable & there is some parking out the front, with more underneath. Whether you eat in our take away you'll love their delicious Thai food & friendly service. Give them a try.

Food is ok, but not authentic thai. I requested for prik nam pla, which is a standard sauce for authentic restaurants. The staff member had no idea what I was talking about and I had to explain to her what it was. She eventually gave me crushed chilis, which is different. The pad ga pow also had ingredients you wouldn’t normally find in a traditional one. Service is friendly. Price is a bit high for the food, but you pay a bit for the ambiance.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Outstanding!

One Thai Restaurant is hands down one of the best Thai places I’ve ever visited in Victoria. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm smiles and that comforting aroma of authentic Thai spices. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive without being intrusive — they make you feel right at home.

The food is absolutely delicious. Every dish bursts with rich, balanced flavors — perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and full of freshness. The Pad Thai was cooked to perfection, the Green Curry was creamy with just the right amount of spice, and the Satay Chicken was tender with the most amazing peanut sauce. You can really tell that everything is made with care and high-quality ingredients.

The restaurant itself has a lovely, cozy atmosphere — clean, welcoming, and tastefully decorated. Whether you’re dining in with friends, family, or just grabbing takeaway, the experience is consistently top-notch.

Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, and the service is fast even when they’re busy.

If you love Thai food, One Thai Restaurant is an absolute must-try. I can’t recommend it highly enough — it’s a local gem that never...

One Thai is a hidden gem located on Belmore Road. As soon as you step inside, you'll be greeted by the friendly staff and the mouth-watering aroma of authentic Thai cuisine. The menu at One Thai offers a wide range of dishes, from classic favourites like Pad Thai and Green Curry, to more unique and flavourful options like the crispy Soft Shell Crab with tamarind sauce. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are also available, making it a great spot for anyone with dietary restrictions. The standout dish at One Thai is undoubtedly the Massaman Curry - it's rich, creamy, and full of flavour, with tender pieces of beef or chicken and a hint of sweetness from the potatoes and peanuts. It's definitely a must-try for any curry lovers. In addition to the delicious food, the service at One Thai is exceptional. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to make recommendations or accommodate special requests. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming, with a relaxed and intimate vibe that's perfect for a date night or a catch-up with friends. Overall, One Thai is a fantastic spot for authentic Thai cuisine in Balwyn. With its delicious food, friendly staff, and cosy atmosphere, it's definitely...
