Went here with a group of friends based on a recommendation.

Atmosphere Overall unappealing. Has the feel of a cheap event hire venue. The outdoor area was partially open so we were continually hit with gusts of cold air. A few of us had to put our coats back on. There was baking paper on the tables which seems weird. There was live music which far too loud with numerous loud bangs through the speakers that made people jump each time.

Service No one was asked for drink orders. Water ran out after 20 minutes and then went unnoticed for the rest of the night. When the food arrived the wait staff tried to pass it over the table.

Food Overall the food was incredibly sad. Think pensioner buffet. Steaks None of the steaks appeared to be the 350g that was listed on the menu. One steak had an excessive amount of fat and gristle throughout. The other plate had two small pieces of steak instead of a single piece. WTF?!? The small amount of vegetables were bland. The mashed potatoes had no seasoning and very bland. There also wasn’t a lot of it. To top it off it was all served room temperature. For $62 you can get a good steak somewhere like Squires Loft. It is outrageous someone thinks they can charge the same for this garbage. You can get a better steak for $20 at Crown.

Pasta Seafood was not fresh. The prawns appeared old as the ends were blackened, the rest pale in colour. Overall very little taste. Serving size was decent but that seemed to make life hard for the people who ordered it since they felt obligated to finish the dish.

Fish Dry and overcooked. Vegetables were limp and tasteless. Weird orange stuff under everything was also bland.

Burger The burger was pretty good! Nicely presented, tasted good. Fries that came with it were also good. Extra star for this dish. Probably a bit overpriced at $32.

Also, as a note the website appears to be completely out of date.

This was the worst dining experience the group has had in years. Stay far away from this place if you have taste buds.

Given how much this meal cost, it feels like we went to a dark side road under the Westgate...

We had an evening booking for 6 adults and 3 young children (1 baby). We arrived at 6:40 pm and we had our drinks and food order placed by 7pm. We did not receive our food until after 8:30 pm. We continuously chased them for our orders, but nothing came.

We decided to leave, and when we were about to walk out, we had one of two children's orders arrive. Which was simply just plain pasta Then, after chasing for the second of the childrens dishes. the rest of our food arrived approximately 20 minutes after the first of the children's dish.

None of our mains were received with our sides, and the food was going cold while we waited for our food. Again, we chased, but nothing was given to us in an appropriate time frame.

Other customers who arrived after us were served before us, and some had even had multiple courses and deserts by the time we got our mains (we didn't order starters).

Having heard good things following reviews from extended family members, we were shocked at how lacklustre the staff and kitchen were. At no point did we receive an explanation as to why our food was taking so long, and when pressed for an answer, the waitress stated that only one chef was working in the kitchen. I believe we should have been warned of a slow service prior to taking our seats, but regardless, other patrons came and went after and before us.

Also, when our food arrived, some of the lamb shank dishes were missing parts such as entire portions of mashed potatoes. The steak came with little to no mash potatoes also. Every dish lacked seasoning, and for the price point, anyone would expect better.

Following this evenings experience, I would not return nor recommend this restaurant to anyone, particularly not to anyone with young children. We weren't made to feel welcome, and the staff acted surprised that we had an issue when we were leaving, despite constantly chasing for our food once it hit the hour mark.

It was a disappointing and expensive experience that we won't...

I recently dined at this restaurant with a group, and I must say that our experience left much to be desired. We had made a reservation in advance via phone for 6 pm, but upon our arrival at 5:30 pm, the restaurant was not yet full. We kindly requested a table outside to enjoy the ambiance, but the lady at the front desk informed us that they do not serve outside in the open area. We then inquired about the outdoor Alfresco area with an ocean view, to which she replied that this section was fully booked and required advance booking. We mentioned that we had also booked in advance, and she seemed flustered, finally admitting that she couldn't find a suitable table for us. It became apparent that when making a reservation, specifying outdoor dining was crucial information we were not privy to, and it was never mentioned during our initial phone booking.

The interaction with the lady at the front desk left us feeling unwelcome and undervalued, prompting thoughts of leaving. However, we decided to stay, mainly because we had a hungry little one with us who couldn't wait any longer. When we placed our order, it took over an hour for the main course to arrive. The wait between the appetizers and the main course was excruciatingly long, and we had to request an update twice to ensure our food was on its way. The same situation occurred with dessert, which took over an hour to be served. Even when the dessert finally arrived (after reminding them once again), our tea was neglected, forcing us to approach the bar section to remind them about our order.

Regrettably, the taste and quality of the food were disappointingly average, with no standout dishes to speak of. The overall experience was marred by the restaurant's abysmal attitude and customer service. It's safe to say that this visit was our first and quite possibly our last. The combination of poor service, prolonged wait times, and mediocre food left us with a bitter taste in our mouths – one we won't be revisiting...

A very very bad dining experience for us tonight. We ordered a $99 seafood platter and it was a complete joke. I must admit I haven't experienced such seafood quality like this in Australia before let alone leaving a poor review. Reheated grilled seafood was served as if it has been kept warm in the bain-marie for a few hours. Both prawns and Morton Bay bugs were very dried and very salty. Wow. We were very hungry but ended up leaving the 3 pieces of grilled fish untouched as we could not swallow any further after the first piece. Freshest food items from our meal were the bowl of fries which we ordered as a side and the fried calamari which was tasteless. The fries and nice waitress have earned 1 star. We have provided the feedback to the waitress who was kind enough to ask how our dinner was. I hope it was taken seriously. This review is to remind the chef and owners to please improve this dish and to treat customers with more respect. This is your most expensive meal on the menu and if continue serving customers like this, it will do your business more long-term harm than short-term gains.

We have use the coupon for 4 people. Good value for money even tho food can be much better with few simple details. Rice for paella too way over cooked leave the rice al dente and the paella already taste different.for any main you used the mash, the mash was tasteless as i say before with just a little seasoning already taste better. On the menu there is chicken scaloppine what i got was chargrill chicken tenderloins on top at some mash and served with sauce.same thing with desserts. Panna cotta was tasteless and too hard insted to put some fruit on top why not make a strawberry coulis to put on top of the panna cotta. While the cheescake was old and dry guys you not supposed to serve dessert like that. I not complaining for the coupons you get what you pay for it but all this little thing can make the experience much better at not extra cost.

Good venue, out of the usual hustle and bustle but with good views of the westgate and marina. Booking via email was easy. Arthur was accomodating with all my queries and requests. We went with a group of approx. 12 and 2 kids which can't be easy to manage. Our waitress was smiling and looked like she enjoyed serving us. She went above and beyond; finding answers to questions she didn't know, moving the chairs of the guests that didn't end up attending etc. Food wasn't bad for their Tuesday Split the bill offer...being a seafood focused restaurant you really are saving! Imagine: seafood marinara, 1 dozen oysters, onion rings and panna cotta all for under $40 Good value for split ths bill tuesday (heads up- they don't literally split the bill). Nice, quiet date spot for a normal day/night. Can't wait to return for their seafood platter!
