Pizza Forno Donvale — Restaurant in Melbourne

Ordered a kids pizza it came with a long peice of hair. Ordered a steak with mushroom sauce and vegetables the whole meal came swimming with the mushroom sauce literally soaked the whole meal. Ordered another steak with vegetables they put mushroom sauce and we didn't ask for mushroom sauce the meat came back literally washed with water. Ordered a kids bolanaise with a SIDE salad they literally put the salad mixed in with the spagetti bolainaise so all the spagetti was literally swimming in balsamic vinegar. On the way out we also saw the steaks getting cooked through the pizza oven 🤢

When asked how our meals were we gave our feedback the owner simply stuck her nose up and didn't give a damm.

I honestly wish Gordan Ramsay would visit this restraunt as it was absolutely disgusting and appalling the quality taste presentation was poor. Wish we just went to mc Donald's waste of money and time.

Food should always be made with love and served and presented immaculately absolutely no excuses.

Update Feb 22... Really good service! Food took 7 minutes from order to table, quality very good chips bang on calabrese pizza nice kick. Staff really on point, glad we gave it another go.

Really disappointing service. Before it gets lost expanding on that will say the food was as good as usual and did come out quite quickly. Weren't busy but nobody came to take a drinks order. After waiting a while took note of time and waited another 5 minutes, then went up to order at the counter. Nobody asked how the meals were going. After dinner waited a while to flag someone down again. This may have been a one off, normally service is at least fine if not good. But tonight didn't recognise any of the staff, may have had an inexperienced group on? The guy in my area... didn't really spend any time in my area, and when able to see my table almost actively avoided looking at my table. Hope this is unusual but won't be...

Absolutely disappointed to say the least. We were very excited to try this place after seeing all of the marketing material, however, we were met with quite a horrendous experience.

We had tried their parma, pasta and pizza. Parma was a pathetic schnitzel with sauce and barely melted cheese and bland veggies. Pizzas were horrible to the eyes and the tongue (nothing like their photos on fb). Pasta was not even edible with unbalanced flavours and just a ton of chilli to hide how bad it was.

With premium prices like theirs you would expect a decent meal, but like other reviews say, everything tasted like frozen meals.

Next time will definitely head over to the Coles next door for better food.
