Italian food doesn’t get much better then this. Came here on a Google Local Guide recommendation and wasn’t disappointed. Located at the south end of Tunstall square with plenty of parking out the front this place was busy at 6.15pm on a Saturday night and stayed that way during my stay. The lovely waiter told me the specials and took the order a few months later - the special of the day was I order which was ravioli with a deliciously tasty sauce. Cheese and garlic bread was also ordered. Fabulous menu with a variety of choices for everyone of every age. Food came out quickly. Service was great. The table next to me had three seatings in the time I was there. This place is wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Take away available.

Had an amazing dinner at Saporito, Doncaster East — definitely a solid ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ experience! Started with the Garlic Prawns, perfectly cooked and served on rice with a rich, creamy garlic sauce that instantly won me over. For the mains, we shared the Risotto Pescatore, full of seafood goodness and super creamy, plus the Venezia Pizza with fresh seafood on a thin, wood-fired crust. The Pollo Parmigiana was another hit — crispy on the outside, juicy inside, topped with melted mozzarella and Napoli sauce. And the best part? Their TiramisĂč with mascarpone — light, creamy, and the perfect sweet ending. The vibe was cozy, staff were friendly, and everything tasted like a slice of Italy in Doncaster!

Definitely a great place for absolutely traditional and exceptional Italian food. Sooo friendly and professional. A local hidden gem! When you search for local Italian restaurant, pizza forno might comes up, as they got a bigger venue, however the business is running by some Chinese owner. Why picked Italian food🙄. Anyway, avoid that one if you can for your money wise-spending sake. Enough of typing, I need to focus on my food now. Grazies!

Do not waste your time or money. Terrible service, terrible hygiene, really average food. I thought I was in a Ramsey's Nightmare restaurant video. Wife reserved a table online. Upon walking in we were confronted by three people staring at us. None of them spoke. Very awkward. Thats the best part of the experience. Finally shown to a table. Got menus, no offer of drinks. Waited, waited, waited and then caught the eye of the waitress (there was 1 other table in restaurant only). Upon ordering we finally got a drink at last. One entree arrived. Had to ask for the other. At this point the owner or manager walked outside. The chef chatted to the waitress about how she should get a job at Telstra. No 2nd entree yet. She coughs, a real chesty cough you know, into her hand. The noise makes me look up, we make eye contact, so she knows I've seen this, and she wipes her hand on her pants. I'm waiting for the hand sanitiser, or at least the walk to the bathroom to wash hands, nope. Manager comes back in, they are both looking at me. I move my empty glass (20 mins now) into their vision for another beer. Nope. They are still looking at me so I get up from my seat and approach them to ask for a beer. He said whats up? I said "hoping I can get a beer...and a meal" (entree still hadn't arrived). Seriously this is a sitdown rsstaurant, not a cafe and we can't get meals drinks or whatever. Upon getting back to my seat, they're whispering and gesturing at me. So I'd had enough asked them to cancel the meal and bring me the bill. Bill arrived with the entree after about an hours endeavours. Get home, order uber eats, its cooked and delivered in 20 minutes. I live 5 minutes from Saporito restaurant, eat out a few times a week and will never go back again. Nor should you. PS my wife who actually got a prawn by some miracle, said the food was really poor. "Ive had better frozen...

I went here on a Saturday night with a group of friends as a casual catch up. When booking the table, the staff member on the phone insisted to my friend she provide a number, so she booked for 20.

Unfortunately being the casual affair it was, a few people cancelled/didn’t show up. As soon as we realised, I informed a waitress that our party was complete.

What happened next will blow my mind for a little while, and then I’ll happily forget this place ever existed.

A man, clearly the manager/owner, got angry and in a very rude tone stated we had lost him customers, that not even half of us had come (we had 12 adults and 3 children, man needs to work on his maths). Furthermore, there were at least 3 other unoccupied tables. Despite his deplorable attitude, we remained, which we all immediately regretted once the next bad experience with this excuse for a high quality restaurant happened.

One of my friends ordered a Margarita pizza, as she is allergic to nuts. Believing this to be a safe option, the pizza came out with pesto. (this was not mentioned on the menu) My friend realised immediately and stated to the manager that she was allergic. His response? “You didn’t tell me you were allergic!” (Again in a rude, condescending tone)

We tried to give the pizza back but he insisted that the rest of us eat it, and then charged for it at the end.

Will never be returning. The owners, managers and staff should learn how to provide better customer service,to be more respectful and understanding. Because frankly, he was lucky that we stayed in the...

To start, we need to say that the restaurant was serving only 3 tables when we entered, so it wasn’t busy or under pressure. We ordered the drinks and food at the same time, drinks took a very long time to get to the table, my wife lemon lime bitter was more of a lemon lime, no bitter, my son coke comes out from a 1.35 lt bottle instead that a can, which was what we ordered. The 3 pizzas took for ever to come out. My wife margherita had a green sauce similar to basil pesto on it, which wasn’t on the menu, the second round of drinks, never came , until we ask again for it, to find out after waiting 10 more minutes that they run out of beer
lol. The wait staff looked like they never worked in a restaurant before, one looked lost the other confused. We will not be going back to this restaurant that supposed to be Italian, but doesn’t have nothing of Italian, that includes staff owner and the food it self. classic and simple Margherita, in my book, doesn’t have any green sauce on it. I don’t know what was that...
