One Star - Avoid at All Costs! Utterly Disappointing Mother's Day Experience

While I'll begrudgingly admit the coffee itself was decent, the customer service at PM's Coffee was, without a doubt, the WORST I have ever encountered. Our experience on Mother's Day was an absolute shambles, turning what should have been a pleasant family outing into a stressful nightmare. We waited an excruciating 30 minutes after placing our order before even daring to ask a staff member how much longer it would take. The response? A dismissive "it's coming." Another 30 minutes crawled by (making it a full hour!), and speaking to who I believe was the owner or manager yielded the exact same unhelpful reply: "it's coming." With a now very fussy baby on our hands after an hour and fifteen-minute wait, we finally had enough and requested a refund. Magically, within TWO MINUTES of asking for our money back, our food appeared in takeaway containers! This speaks volumes about their priorities. Adding insult to injury, the person who initially took our order vanished into the kitchen to "check" on our food and never resurfaced with an update. When we provided constructive feedback, suggesting they simply give customers a heads-up about potential wait times due to the volume of orders, we were met with an unbelievably rude response: "cannot provide heads up as its Mother's Day, you should be grateful we gave you a reserved table." Grateful? For being ignored and having our time completely wasted? Our order wasn't some elaborate feast; it was a straightforward selection. When we questioned the excessive delay, we were condescendingly told to "allow us to work for you" and then had another table pointed out with the justification that "they are waiting for 40mins." Well, newsflash, PM's Coffee – we waited significantly longer! Consider yourselves down at least one customer family from today, and you can be sure that neither I nor my entire circle of friends will ever set foot in your establishment again. To top it all off, we witnessed your staff serve a massive order – I'd estimate around 15 plates – to the charcoal chicken restaurant across the street, yet they couldn't provide us with a simple estimate of our wait time. In this day and age, with technology that allows you to track pending orders, this level of incompetence is simply astounding. Save yourself the frustration and dine elsewhere. Began our brunch with a coffee which was good, ordered the Canadian pancakes and was very disappointed ☹️ 2 overly large cakes that resembled a soufflé style appearance! The cakes, not pancakes were dry, crumbly and inedible. I spoke with the so called manager who explains to me that this is what pancakes are and that is how they do them. I politely stated that these were cakes made in a cake pan not ‘pancakes’. Apparently, I’m wrong, this IS how they are made & I have not been eating the correct kind of ‘pancakes’ 🤪🤪 I asked if we could get a partial refund and was curtly told that NO, that’s not possible as management does not allow that 🤔 I can accept the awful oversized cakes from a cake tin that are meant to resemble pancakes, I am happy to accept a ‘we don’t do refunds for meals that don’t resemble what you think you we’re ordering’ what I won’t accept is the rude, dismissive middle aged hagged faced POS that stirs the 43 beans that makes coffee and calls herself the ‘ manager’ She is an absolute disgrace ! She was more interested in sitting at a table with friends and laughing at our misfortune of having paid for 3 meals that were not as depicted off the menu. New breaky spot stumbled across in the Coburns Central Precinct that dishes up huge portion sizes and an extremely wide variety of menu items that will cater for anyones foodie needs, so you def won't go home feeling hungry. By far one of my favourite waffle dishes to date; the sweet and savory flavours perfectly complement each other and the slow cooked beef rib was super succulent and juicy.
