Prince Mark Hotel — Restaurant in Melbourne

I can't rate my bistro service on Tuesday night highly enough at the prince mark in the bistro, Monica is was very friendly from seating us and explains the qr code app thing to us and letting us still order at the counter, then again serving our drinks at the bar. She also bought our meals and desserts out. The bistro was quite busy for a public holiday but everything seemed to go smoothly and the chefs cooked nice meals. After dinner we went into the the gaming area for sometime. The staff in here were also quite friendly although one did not seem like she wanted to be working and kept telling us to put our feet down off the counter when resting them When we asked for a soft drink we were told we had to pay for it because we had dinner, which seemed a bit strange because, because in the past when we were in the gaming room, we didn't have to pay for small soft drinks, but maybe the rules have changed since there Is cordial and water on stand by now. Service & food need improvement. Asked for vegies instead of salad & they wanted to charge an extra $6! Eat out abit & when I questioned it & said that was the first time that I had ever been asked to pay extra anywhere for swapping salad for vegies, the staff member was quite short, argumentative & wanted to debate the issue. A little taken aback... so I told her I wasn't going to argue about it to not worry I would just have salad. ( My Dad had vegies & they were raw & he couldn't chew them). Then to add to that gave me change from $20 instead of $50... told her my change was incorrect she then checked the till but could not reconcile the difference. I had a steak sandwhich and for some reason all i could smell was fish. I saw someone else complained of something similar and left a review. Must be a problem with the storage of food or preparation, where the same utensils or cutting area was used to prepare my steak sandwhich and was not washed or not washed properly. Problem with this is, I hate the taste of seafood, so much so, I don't touch seafood, even then I don't believe it was a pleasant seafood taste. Also when I eat a steak sandwhich I don't want to be smelling fish. I ended up leaving most of eat. Real waste as on paper it looked so delcious and even looked really delicious when it came out.
