Prodigal Coffee Roasters Tyabb — Restaurant in Melbourne

I feel I have to write this after reading the owner's sarcastic smart comments to a couple of bad reviews. Can't believe all the bad reviewers know each other...Let me start by saying I know none of these reviewers, either one star or 5. I've given one star for the wait staff who were very nice but not for the service. Had to get our own napkins and ask for cutlery. After we'd had our meal no-one came near us to ask if everything was ok or did we want anything else and we were there for around 2 hours. Not like the place was packed...there was only one other table with a couple of people. Felt like I was sitting in a passageway, very bare decor. Looked like it was new and not fitted out out totally yet. Menu very limited and nothing for a quick snack. Mainly specialist toasties. I had toasted cheese which was ok if you like really strong tasty cheese and a lot of it but 3 of us who had it it our table couldn't finish it which may or may not be a bad thing. It also had some bits of ham stuck on it which must have come from someone else's toasty which was cooked at the same time. Being a specialist coffee roaster place I was expecting exceptional coffee. Unfortunately this had to be one of the worst coffees I've ever had. Could hardly taste the coffee in the full cream cow's milk (no lite milk). Perhaps the Almond, Soy and whatever other milk was offered would have been better. Would never...

This is the worst service Ive ever had .they left our food in microwave 20 minutes because they forgot and we had to ask where it was . Then no apology just gave it to us like we inconvenienced them asking . 4 staff on maybe 5 and more concerned with cleaning up . Not good enough . We definitely wont be back ! If you said 7 minutes for heating up one cookie and muffin ? You should have a look what time we got our food and coffee and you said 2 large groups they are all gone already when we are waiting for just only cookie I can put photos of our receipts what time we are ordering and what time we got the muffin and cookie returned we send to heat up our cookies and muffins until they are not hot and warm because you forgot our food I will tell everyone about it and I wish...

Nasty barista and disappointing coffee. Unpleasant blonde lady made extremely bad coffee. Asked for extra strong almond latte.The coffee was so weak and the almond milk was just heated, not stretched.the cows milk latte wasn't any better. I was hard pressed to taste coffee at all. So disappointing.definitely won't be going back.

The owner's response below demonstrates the culture and attitude of this cafe. So, if someone says or does something your employees don't like, they'll get a substandard coffee/meal on purpose?
