This is a new venture for us. We went here by word of mouth from someone who had bought takeaway. They said ambience was nice so we decided to dine in here. It was a lot more than i had imagined. Although its not a real big place but its a nice cozy place with chairs on one side and benches the other. Its semi formal so you have paper tableclothes complete with steak knives and wine glasses. The menu is in italian but carefully described in english for people like us. We went for the bruschetta to start with. We are used to having bruschetta similar to garlic bread pieces with vegetables on top of them. This one was something totally different and felt authentic. They were pieces of stone baked flat bread on a paddle board accompanied with a mix of cherry tomatoes, onions in a goats cheese creamy mix. Its not describable but when a fussy 6 year old eats it, i think its easier to work it out. We then had aussie pizza which doesn't really need an introduction but i love how it had shaved ham as opposed to sliced ham. The pizza base was stone baked. Another pizza we tried was a prawn and pesto one whose name i can't remember. Frutti di mari or something but it was proper tiger prawns not little shrimps and pesto tasted great. The chef later revealed they make their own pesto as well asall the sauces used in the restaurant. Now thats something you don't get everywhere. For desserts we had homemade tiramisu and brownie with ice cream. The portions were huuuuge and they were so moist and tasty. Also the waitress was very accommodating. She brought over some crayons so the kids could draw on the paper table cloth and also made paper planes for kids to play with. My kids usually insist to go there to meet the lovely girl there. We will definitely be going here again when in the area. Perhaps a good place to stop after going to chadstone....
Read moreOrdered two large pizzas, delivered. Arrived early, so thats a plus. Now, as for the pizzas? They ware alright. Nothing special, nothing worth paying a premium for - and sadly - these guys charge a premium. One of the more expensive options in this area. Yes they are wood fired, but just because you cook your pizzas in a woodfire, this does not automatically justify a premium price tag. Sadly the toppings were lacking, very stingy in the application thereof. Very dissapointing given the premium price tag. Flavour wise? Again nothing special. The mushroom pizza in particular was really very dissapointing, a pathetic display of tiny shrunken mushrooms in the middle of the pizza, sitting in top of some salami. Sadly, both pizzas arrived barely warm, luke warm at best. I doubt I'll order delivery from Queen...
Read moreKam, I acknowledge this evening when I called to place an order for delivery, your willingness to provide a great customer experience. As mentioned to you, this is the first occasion I have ordered from your business and I will indeed order many more times ahead. The pizza I ordered was delicious. And you threw in a bonus free of charge Margherita as I am a first time customer. What a wonderful welcome for me. I appreciate your kindness. Thank you for such a pleasant experience all round Kam. All the best; I will be...
