I never really write reviews, because i was never convinced that people read the reviews before choosing a place to eat. But i’ve learned in a few years of staying in australia that reviews do matter here, and i cannot think of a better platform to address the ongoing issue at this place than reviewing it online...
I personally love the food of schnitz, i have eaten here quite a few times and never had a bad experience with the taste or quality of the food. But this review is not about the food. When i go to an eatery it is not only the food i look for. After working at a pizza shop for almost 2 years i have learned and i strongly believe that a good experience of visiting a place to eat is not only about having some good food, it is a whole package of good quality of food and a good and respectful customer service. And sometimes a good service can even overpower the taste of food in providing a good customer experience.
One can never predict or expect People of a limited category of profession of their customers when working in a food industry. And each and every customer from each and every profession deserves the same amount of respect at any given place. This respect is not only deserved by the customers walking in the store, but also the people working for outside delivery sources such as uber eats, deliveroo etc. And there are times when those people also turn come to the store as customers. In both the situations they deserve an equal amount of respect.
I work as an uber driver and i have been going to schnitz as both customer and uber driver. But, i have always sensed some amount of disrespect and discrimination in both ways. I never chose to address this and ignored it most of the times. But there are some delivery partners who chose not to and decided to confront the staff with this issue (which I believe is very fair and i did not have the courage to do it so far.) this led to an argument which resulted in the staff blocking the delivery partners who retaliated, from getting any orders from the store. ( which i believe is not fair but an action that is still within limits).
The delivery partners then informed the owner of the store about the situation, in return they received a very humble apology and assurance that this behaviour of the staff will not be repeated. (Which was a very sensible and peaceful way to resolve the situation). The very next day, delivery partners face the same rude behaviour of staff and when confronted, the staff had a sense of pride in their behaviour which was expressed by the words “we are not the ones who will be at loss, you are the ones that will be at loss by doing all this. We are not going to change, we are going to stay the same, you might face some loss of deliveries”. It turns out this pride was not only expressed by words. It was expressed by a few actions which involved the use of current covid 19 situation, to report the drivers in a way, that resulted in their account being blocked and sacrificing one source of income.
The irony of this situation is that the source of income these delivery partners chose to feed their belly’s during this covid 19 situation, but the same situation was chosen by the staff to feed their ego over a person’s intention to feed himself.
This review is for the people who still look at reviews and for whom these issues matter.

I'm above and beyond disgusted and appalled with the way I have been treated as a customer a few weeks back. I was shamed in front of many customers by staff members who I will not name as I believe this is very personal and confidential, but again, but be known to the public. As a dark man with a few extra weight on my body, I was called such names as "Fat" and "Black". Please avoid this place if you can. I do not recommend this place at any cost, I don't even care if the prices dropped from $10.00 a roll or wrap to $0.50.
It was like being burnt alive. Getting bullied by unknown staff members who you never met before and who don't know you on personal or professional grounds. I don't think you'd like being there because the first moment I stepped in, it was already hell. Literally. The chef burning chicken and serving it. The others? I wouldn't know where they were, it was like the place was empty, and I am honestly not surprised one bit.

"I had an absolutely amazing experience at Schnitz! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm and friendly service. The staff were incredibly attentive and made sure my dining experience was top-notch.
Now let's talk about the food. Oh. My. Goodness. The schnitzel was out of this world! It was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The variety of toppings and sauces available made it easy to customize my meal to my liking.
The sides were equally delicious. I especially loved the sweet potato fries and the coleslaw - they were the perfect accompaniments to my schnitzel.
Overall, I would highly recommend Schnitz to anyone looking for delicious food and fantastic service. The staff truly went above and beyond to make my dining experience memorable. I can't wait...
