Tried these guys tonight for dinner via Uber Eats. Half way through eating we decided "we're Greek tonight!" The food was really pure Greek cuisine.
We ordered the Family Meal - Mixed Grill for 2 and a "house chicken salad" on the side. We chose Tzatziki and Hommus for our dips. All up cost us $75.30 which was extremely reasonable for the amount of tasty, quality food that turned up.
The pack comprised of Lamb, Chicken and Pork sliced off the spit with "Loukaniko (Greek sausage), Pita bread, chips and a healthy lashing of sliced purple onion. What a feast we had and sooooo yummo!
It was the first time we'd ever tried "Loukaniko" and we were really impressed with the delicate, unusual flavours they managed to cook into it. We'll be ordering that bad boy again!
The "house chicken salad" was a real treat to eat. LOTS of unusual flavours mixed through a tossed salad with shredded chicken and a wonderful sauce. If they ever bottled that sauce we'd buy it.
When it came to the Pita bread - OMG, we could have had a mains of just that and the Tzatziki dipping sauce. It really was way up there for taste.
All in all, there was HEAPS of fantastic food to choose from and gave our taste buds a real workout. The two of us couldn't eat it all and put the rest in the frige for tomorrows lunch. C'mon lunch!
Hats off to the cook as the food was a real Greek treat. You've earned yourself a repeat customer.
Do yourself a flavour-favour and try this place just once and judge for yourself. I guarantee you'll be a convert,...
Read moreWas feeling some authentic souvs tonight so decided to travel 20 minutes to Souvlaki GR in sunshine west as we have many times since this store opened and have had a good experience. We ordered one mixed souvlakia combo and one chicken souvlakia combo. We didnât wait very long for our meals however my dad took 2 bites into the chicken souv to find it cold. He went back inside to notify the staff to which they replied âwell youâve already eaten half of itâ which I found a bit rude however they were generous enough to make him another one. When the next chicken souvlakia came out, we unwrapped it to find a souvlakia covered in mustard and feta which is not what we ordered. One of the staff members then bought to our attention that when the original order had been put in the POS system, staff had made an error and entered the souvlakia in wrong, which is what we received the second time and refused to rectify this. As a fellow greek and someone who teaches hospitality management, itâs a little disheartening to see customer service that is focussed on proving the customer wrong and shifting the blame onto other staff. Will be sticking to the yarraville store...
Read moreWe have been here a few times and always had great service and excellent food. However on 20/12/22 at 7.45pm the service was unbelievably slow, despite not being busy. The staff seemed to spend a lot of time topping up lettuce and tzatziki in very small amounts, or so often not visible at all that I wondered if they might be secretly making out in the back. When I did see them however, they moved so slowly that it was hard to imagine they were hiding a passionate affair. They took such a comically long time to prepare my order (over 45 minutes for two souvlakis), despite only 3 other orders in this time, that I started to wonder if perhaps I was on a candid camera type show where they see how long a customer will tolerate staff moving in seemingly slow motion before saying anything? As someone who has worked in fast food where the majority of orders are out the door in under a minute, I was totally perplexed. When we finally got our food, it was delicious as always, which is why I gave the extra star, but honestly I just felt like I spent 45 minutes in an alternate dimension where time...
