This place used be called Upali's and it's been renamed to Spicy Wicket (yes with a cricket flavour to it)
The food can be a bit of a hit and miss. We ordered their Dry Black Pork, Goat Curry, Bitter Gourd Salad, Stringhoppers, Sizzling Chicken and garlic rottis.
We love the Dry Black Pork. In fact, we liked it so much we ordered a second bowl!
The Stringhoppers were great too - soft, fluffy, noodly goodness that soaks up any sauce you douse it with and it goes so well with the Coconut Sambol.
Their Bitter Gourd Salad was a unique one that we don't usually find in most restaurants. So, it was a new gustatory experience.
The sizzling chicken, however, is a very odd dish. We hardly find any chicken pieces in there and when we do (it's in thin shredded pieces), it's very dried up - feels like they have prepared it and left it in the open for too long and it's all dried up - some can't even chew through.
Overall, I think we may return to try other dishes but will have to be a little...
