Star Crescent Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

Came first thing in the morning and was reluctantly greeted by a young, sour Asian woman. Figured she must just hate her job or was having a bad day but checked the reviews and apparently I'm not the only one who thought this. The coffee was burnt but luckily I don't mind as I still enjoy 'skunk' coffee. The chicken souvlaki I ordered for lunch however was an appalling excuse for a meal. Souvlaki meat is supposed to have some kind of flavour and this had absolutely none. The meat tasted as though it had been braised and each mouthful was just a chunky dry lump of flavourless mass. Went back in and was calm but understandably annoyed. Mentioned this to another young lady up the front and there was zero mention of any discount on the 2 chicken pieces and potato cake I bought. The only saving grace was that the fried chicken pieces were a solid pass. Other than that I spent nearly $20 here today (minimum $5 on card purchases) and will be hungry...

What a great little take away. Absolutely sensational home made meals. Staff were very bubbly and enthusiastic. Was allowed time to check out what they had while deciding on what delicious morsel I was to enjoy. Over a couple of days I had the Hamburger w/lot, b&e roll, roast pork with perfect crackle and scallop potatoes and the Mexican pasta. Can't fault any of the feeds. burgers are always soggy! worst customer service I have ever seen. The short girl is so rude!!! I do not recommend!
