Worst Experience ever.. We have been visiting to this restaurant since day one it has opened. Today we went for dinner .. first of all nobody approached us regarding if we are dining or take away. Have to walk to the desk to tell them if they can get the table arranged and when seated. Table was not cleaned. Than we ordered the food after 10 mins they said we haven’t got the dum biryani so we changed it goat biryani. When the food was served earlier, no cutlery was given. No tissues. After having our food, I went to the counter as drinks were not served and the whole food was finished. When asking the girl at desk, she replied rudely as we should have seen it was busy and was some sort of technical issue n ol so they forgot to check the drinks and drinks are not available. It was all about making excuses instead of simply apologising and finishing the matter. She was continuously arguing. I walked myself to the counter to grab a bottle of water, as I can see it was busy. When asked about the biryani which meant to be served with the other food. They put in a take-way container, which was never mentioned. I mean if you can’t manage, or mistake are done by all but just apologise instead ruining someone evening and food. When asked about owner or manager she said there was no one at shop and rudely provided the number of manager which doesn’t work. I should have given minus star rating if there was a option. She need to learn some customer skills and the owner need to leave a responsible person to manage the store. The way she replied as she don’t care about the service and customer. I hope we get some reply on this matter and hopefully the owner does take some steps...
Read moreIf you're craving authentic South Indian cuisine, this place is an absolute gem. From the moment you step in, the aroma of freshly ground spices fills the air, setting the perfect stage for a truly memorable meal. The restaurant has a cozy, welcoming ambiance, ideal for both casual dining and special occasions. The dosas here are a must-try. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, they are paired with an assortment of chutneys—each one more flavorful than the last. The sambar is rich, tangy, and packed with vegetables, providing the perfect balance to the savory dosas. Another highlight is the idli-vada combo. The idlis are perfectly steamed, light, and fluffy, while the vada is crispy on the outside and soft inside—everything you'd expect from an authentic South Indian dish. For those looking to explore deeper, the BIRYANI stands out with its bold, aromatic spices. It’s rich and flavorful, served with a side of gravy which are both excellent choices to soak up.
The service is friendly, and the staff is knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations. Whether you're a South Indian food aficionado or a newcomer, this restaurant provides a true taste of South India that will keep you coming...

I’ve been a loyal customer of Sawagat Grand Restaurant for a long time, but today’s experience was incredibly disappointing. For the first time, I encountered rude, arrogant, and unprofessional behavior from the receptionist.
First, she refused to let us sit for dining, claiming that they stop dining 45 minutes before closing time (something I’ve never experienced here before). When I asked for a takeaway, she indirectly refused to take my order directly, after I have to order through Uber Eats while I was physically present at the restaurant. Even then, when I politely requested her to expedite my order since I was standing there waiting, she continued to argue and show no regard for customer service.
This level of disrespect is unacceptable, especially towards a regular customer who has always enjoyed this place. I hope the management takes note of this incident and improves their customer service because experiences like this can tarnish the...
