As a frequent customer drawn by the promise of halal options, I was shocked by my experience. When I inquired about the halal status of the food, the cashier was polite and honest, explaining, “I wouldn’t say we are 100% halal because we cook everything together.” I appreciated her honesty and asked for a refund. When she called the manager for assistance, the manager responded in a hostile manner, yelling at the cashier right in front of my children and me. Her aggressive tone was completely uncalled for, especially when she said to me “You should’ve asked that question before ordering.” She continued to yell at the cashier while processing my refund, even shutting the window on me before I could say anything further. As I’m ordering, I can’t finish my word before being pushed to move on. She was so fast that she missed half my order. When I got to the window, no smile, no friendliness, no hi. She actually looked and seemed angry. Zero greeting at all. I ask her to please read the order back and she looks at me annoyed and says “right” Two main meals were missing and she says I never asked for them. I’m ordering 4 meals for a family of 4, why would I miss two main meals? I was on the phone with my son as I ordered them, so I know I did. I said that I’ll come inside, and she just looked at me like I’m stupid.
I go inside and she’s muttering to another lady who looks just an annoyed and angry as she does, I heard a her use a derogatory word, regarding me. She walked away and the other lady just stood there staring at me. I was so taken aback, I just walked out. First and last time. Really bad window service. Horrible...

Upon calling the delivery person, he informed me that the order had been cancelled by the shop. When I contacted the shop directly, I was told that they had run out of chicken and had to cancel the order. They also mentioned that they could not assist further and that I would need to follow up with DoorDash which is ridiculous as I placed my order directly through the Red Rooster website.
