Finding myself in Springvale once again on a late Tuesday afternoon, I ventured down to T.T Bake House to try their crispy pork banh mi.
After trying its more famous cousins along Springvale road the weeks prior, I figured that below the kings of banh mi, there must be challengers poised to put an end to the chokehold that big banh has on the south-eastern community.
And T.T did not disappoint.
Beautifully cooked crispy pork, crunchy tiger roll & spot-on fillings/chilli - this banh was in the same class as Bun Bun & Tabac.

This is amazing. I really like the crispy yet soft bread that lets you bite through really easily while still having that nice crust on the outside. The ingredients in it were good too, tastes fresh, very refreshing. The pork is more on the milder side, so if you eat them al together, you can’t really differentiate the different flavours. They all work well together and tastes very homogenous. I tried some of the pate by itself and i really liked it. I’d probably ask for extra pate the next time.
