I got the BBQ pork roll for $8 This is amazing. I really like the crispy yet soft bread that lets you bite through really easily while still having that nice crust on the outside. The ingredients in it were good too, tastes fresh, very refreshing. The pork is more on the milder side, so if you eat them al together, you can’t really differentiate the different flavours. They all work well together and tastes very homogenous. I tried some of the pate by itself and i really liked it. I’d probably ask for extra pate the next time. Overall it’s really good, pretty filling, and quite affordable as well.

Someone had recommended TT bakehouse to me for their Banh Mi so I gave it a go today. Really glad I did! I took the roast pork roll; the balance of all the ingredients was just spot on. Not too greasy, just the right moistness (not dripping with sauce nor too dry), the butter didn’t taste artificial (some places I can really taste margarine), vegetables were fresh (I like that they cut up the coriander and not give a giant stalk 😅); very comforting eat. The roast pork was not completely crunchy but there was enough there to keep me happy. Overall glad with my purchase and will definitely be back.

Also went to T.T. Bakehouse on my quest to experience the less well known Springvale banh mis. This was a truely lovely cold cuts roll or bánh mì thịt nguội. Balance of flavours perfect. Can really appreciate the paté. One of the best cold cuts banh mi I’ve had. It’s been so long since I tried the famous Bun Bun Bakery and Tabac Bakery that this exercise was not very scientific. But TT is excellent. $7 plus $1 for a tiger roll, $5 for a Vietnamese coffee. Paté-licious!

Finding myself in Springvale once again on a late Tuesday afternoon, I ventured down to T.T Bake House to try their crispy pork banh mi.

After trying its more famous cousins along Springvale road the weeks prior, I figured that below the kings of banh mi, there must be challengers poised to put an end to the chokehold that big banh has on the south-eastern community.

And T.T did not disappoint.

Beautifully cooked crispy pork, crunchy tiger roll & spot-on fillings/chilli - this banh was in the same class as Bun Bun & Tabac.

If you’re not looking for a big line to get a tasty banh mi in Springvale, T.T Bake House is...
