It’s crazy good and good price!!! Was visiting Dandenong botanical garden and browsing around for dinner. Found this hidden germ and walk in. A warm welcome from the beautiful waitress and was instantly enjoying the chill and jazz music and the nicely decorated dining area. Ordered Pad Thai with Prawns ($22), pineapple fire rice with chicken($22), and a red curry with duck ($22). All served with some nice and beautiful plates and bowl. And the taste, it was so good.l! The Pad Thai was so yum and I can feel the heat from the wok that left with the noodle, the pineapple rice was so tasty, and the red curry was my favourite where the duck was so juicy, tender and yummy. I was really disappointed in this restaurant. It gets very high reviews but does not seem to live up to them. I’m sure the people that run this place are very nice but our meal was not great. I don’t like giving bad reviews to local places but it’s frustrating when the reviews do not match the experience. It took nearly an hour for our food to arrive, even though the restaurant was not very busy. The entire time we were there, the two tables near us were not cleared of dirty dishes. The restaurant was very messy in general. We didn’t get exactly what we ordered but decided not to complain as we just wanted to leave after being there for so long. Spent a few days in the area on a quick holiday and tried this Thai for takeaway one evening. I am not entirely sure how so many people can rate this place to highly. Maybe the standard of food or the understanding of what good food supposed to taste like is a lot lower outside the big cities. We had 2 different stir fry dishes and rice. Both dishes were bland, watery and boring. The ginger, chicken and mushroom stir fry I had was overloaded with carrots and there was barely any piece of chicken to see anywhere.
