La Collina Pizzeria — Restaurant in Melbourne

I came here in September with my family and we just loved our time in this restaurant. We were in town to travel on the Puffing Billy Scenic Railway and had some time to kill so decided to grab lunch. It was my birthday so we didn’t hold back. We sat outside and loved the service, quality of the food, and the general atmosphere of the place. We spent a bit, but you don’t have to, you’re sure to get great food reasonably priced either way. We had the specials in the window on the day; I had a Beef Stroganoff with onion, capsicum and tomato’s, my wife had a grilled Barramundi with Terry Potatoes, and the kids had a margarita pizza and a Caesar salad- but we all shared anyway - as you do. We topped that off with some beer, red wine, white wine and a couple of cokes. I have to say everything was super! They clearly state on their website "delivers to Kallista" and after 5 years of giving these clowns money for oily pizza and mucked up orders we are moving on.... The only reason we kept going back is that my 7 yr old loves that (fake) shredded ham & pineapple pizza. They now won't come up our street for fear of losing their drivers. Great idea, keep your drivers not your customers! Extremely poor customer service! The owner is very rude! Savvy Pizza in Belgrave are only too happy to take our business. Got to say their pizza is better by scores than La Collina. After calling back the owner to tell him of this review, he then tried to tell me that they don't do delivery or have any drivers.... Nice work...

Can't believe how this establishment has such high ratings! Initially being told there was no tables.. (Not even suggesting there would be a wait/that we could wait) then there was a table. Had to ask for waitress 3 times for water before we got some. We waited for an hour for 2 meals and for what they were it was very overpriced. Pizza was fine, nothing special. Chicken schnitzel was plain.. Not much to it. The girls looked like they didn't know what they were doing.. Probably needs better management, they didn't really care that we waited so long for food..
