Thai@Officer — Restaurant in Melbourne

We were appalled by the treatment from Thai @Officer tonight. I was having a headache after managing our own cafe/restaurant today. They had a table for two which we took. So, we have ordered some food for us and take away to have with the boys at night. Order was made at 5.30 pm. The food came 45 minutes later when we were the only dine in customer. Soup came after main. Fried rice was literally rice and beef was so hard that we couldn't cut it. Meanwhile two groups of four people arrived and they were offered welcome drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to all of them except us. Once we've finished eating our food ( don't want to call dinner) and asked for the takeaway before settling the bill, I couldn't believe what they've said. They didn't cook it yet. The 80 minutes we were there made us felt unwanted. They have taken so many takeaway orders after us via call and in present and didn't cook our food.

My husband told me that because we weren't apparently dressed up properly that's probably why we have been treated like this. We were ordering takeaways at least once a month from them.

Found this restaurant by chance and it was a pleasant surprise. Food as good as it gets great tasting great presentation and if any fault in food it was the quantity just too much served for every dish but perfection. The staff were so friendly that it became counter productive as head service lady ignored customers to spend 46 minutes talking to a couple on one table and I had to flag down the only other service staff member who was serving, taking orders for takeaway settling bills and answering a quite busy phone for orders. Trying to get my Bill to pay and leave took over 10 minutes alone as she was so busy doing everything while the boss lady couldn't stop yapping away. Would go back for food alone but the nightmare of delayed service and listening to the constant banter probably outweighs the food experience. ...

Our family ordered takeaway with friends as we heard the food was very good. We ordered at 5.30PM and were told that pick up would be at least an hour. Travelling from Narre warren south we took our time to ensure the food Wouldn't be sitting out too long. When we arrived at 6.35PM, we were expecting a short wait.However, to our dismay the woman at the desk with glasses told us it would be at least another hour with 12 orders in front of ours. We received our food at 8.40PM. Over 2 hours since we placed our order. If they had been upfront about the time we would have appreciated it and went elsewhere, they just wanted our money and we will not be back. Thank GOD our kids had already ate. Food was decent however the roti breads were raw and our friend had to make frozen ones. Customer...
