Went there today with my family first time and have concluded that will never revisit. The food served was fine, not great but took a long time to be served. I understand that since it was the weekend, they were too busy. Having said that, it doesn't give a reason to serve wrong food. Coffee was not hot as ordered, waffle came with ice cream that we asked to not include and didn't have berries that was actually ordered. Plates were not served for the sharing. Everything came in too many haphazard installments spoiling the fun of the food. A simple trick to write down the order could have saved this unnecessary effort on both the sides. Anyway, we still were not completely offended until it was the time to pay. We were charged for the replacement coffee (as the original wasn't served the way it was ordered) and then there was an additional weekend service charge of 10% of the bill amount. Basically, we are paying extra for lesser services, what an irony. If their staff rates are higher for the weekends, that extra cost is easily absorbed by the extra footfall over the weekend as well so why would some cafe/restaurant charge a weekend service this way...and ofcourse, I didn't notice any signboard or something that told about this extra weekend rates. In a nutshell, we paid for the food we didnt receive the way we ordered and then paid extra for their unorganized & poor services. Truly a...

This was my second and final visit to this place. I was impressed upon my first visit a couple of weeks ago, the food was amazing and of decent portions (well done to the chefs). Unfortunately, I will not be returning after today for a number of reasons. Firstly, the fruit served with the matcha pancakes tasted extremely off. The matcha pancakes were bland and flavourless. Secondly, one of the waiters seemed to be in a hurry to see us go, although they weren’t busy and there were many empty tables (this was around 2pm, they don’t close til 4pm). He came around twice, asking if we were finished with our meals yet. Lastly, their iced coffees were bitter and full of ice (which eventually melted and diluted the coffee into water). In their drinks menu, the iced coffees are listed at $5.50 each. However, both my friend and I were charged $7 each. Upon questioning the waitresses about it, all they said was “sorry, the menu is outdated” in a rude, disrespectful tone. I said that we weren’t notified of this but all they did was shrug and didn’t even care to offer to refund the difference. Also, the staff were more interested in taking photos of our food when it was ready, instead of bringing it out to us (the wait time for the food was much too long). I haven’t been subjected to such poor, rude customer service in a long time, so it was a bit of a shock to be...

Came here on the weekend for lunch with some friends. It was relatively quiet when we came in, and unfortunately the service was severely lacking. We had to wave someone down after 25 minutes of waiting for service (there were 3 staff on who were just chatting amongst themselves), one of the drinks were forgotten, upon delivery of the drinks, no spoons were brought along with the drinks, we had to ask multiple times for things, a knife was missing when we started our meals, we were told that there were no more and they'd bring one over. In this time, other people were waited upon, and had full cutlery sets brought to them. We asked again for a knife, and were told they still didn't have any? Our plates were eventually cleared and we were again ignored, which was quite annoying as we all would have had additional drinks/dessert. The food itself was nice, but portions were incredibly small, and whilst we know how expensive things are now, it seems other people agree as they have mentioned it in their reviews too. There is SO much room for potential here, and would benefit from an attentive team. We had passed on our feedback at the end of the meal, and all that was said was 'okay'. Unfortunately, we won't...

Thought we'd try this cafe due to an offer on the entertainment book. It's a busy little cafe with indoor and outdoor sitting. Service was busy but staff was friendly and told me to hang on and he will attend to me shortly. I had the breakfast burger and my friend ordered the eggs benedict. My breakfast burger was average. It's supposed to have tomato relish as stated on the menu but I'm not sure if what I had was tomato relish in my burger. The buns were not warmed up when served which was a disappointment as I prefer my burger buns warm. The harsh brown was hot and crispy though, and it was the highlight of my order. The eggs Benedict was average too although the poached eggs were perfectly cooked. The presentation of the food wasn't enticing. There is ample parking right outside the cafe. Seating can be little tight inside the cafe but it's ok. Overall ok, food was average. Not a place that I'll be a repeat customer.

There were four people in the cafe including myself and my husband at 9.15 on a Monday morning. I asked for beef tacos from the all day menu, but they weren't available at that time. Instead I ordered the French toast. They were the most underwhelming serving of French toast I've ever had at a cost of $22. The poached pear wasn't even poached all the way through. Not comparable to other cafes even though they are charging a similar price. I make a better French toast at home. The fridges were bare and the egg, bacon and cheese roll my husband ordered was pre-made with a twenty cent piece size squirt of tomato sauce. The first photo is from Butlers Pantry. The second photo is from Populus in Berwick.

Will definitely recommend this place to family and friends. There was a massively long queue when we arrived and yet not too long a wait . It was buzzing with happy people (seemingly content with food) and very efficient service...The aroma of food and the perfect ambience added to the charm of the place. The atmosphere was very happening and had the buzz every foodie wants to see when trying out a new place. Ample parking in the near about areas. Their sticky date hot cake was the best one I ever had. It was soft, moist, spongy and not too sweet. Me and my partner would love to come back here again in the near future.
