First time there. In two minds. The burger was fine taste wise which did surprise me. However it looks nothing like the pictures on their websites. It was two slices of brisket already cut and sitting in a Bain Marie (so drying out - none of the meat in the Bain Marie looked juicy) that they stuck in a sandwich press to heat up. Then cut in to smaller pieces and inserted in a roll with some lettuce and tomato. $14. It’s not worth $14 in any sense.
As it said it tasted fine but the buildup on their website promises so much more. It’s just a sandwich bar really. Oh and if coming from elsewhere parking is the pits (few public places) and it’s really designed for the office...
Read moreI saw on another platform that the meeting house had $5 toasties this week. Yes $5 toasties to celebrate the start of autumn. Call it what you like I was there as soon as I could get there lol.
I tried the triple cheese toastie w cheddar cheese, Swiss cheese, mozzarella and mustard mayo on grain bread... I was trying to be healthy hahaha.
Well this toastie was delicious, it was piping hot, runny, goey cheese on some good bread!! Woo hoo it was so good I might just have to sneak back this week as the special is only for this week, the first week of March! So hurry lol.
You can sit outside, inside or upstairs but get there...
Read moreI can't believe I have walked past this place several times. Glad I found it. The menu has many favs of mine and is quite varied. I went for the Cuban sandwich and a side of chips. Cuban had the authentic taste and was a little tidier and lighter then ones you have down in Florida and of course Cuba and surrounds. But enjoyable.
The chips despite not looking flash were quite nice and again enjoyable.
The wait times was well within reason and the male server had great customer service skills.
Despite this, I will plan in my work week to become a regular.
Second visit, ordered the same. No...
