I've ordered a few times off Uber eats and the food has always been great, however I was really disappointed at the service I experienced today. My sister ordered on Uber eats and they forgot one of the items (the pork bun burger). I rang them and the lady first hung up on me while I was talking (maybe she couldn't hear me). I then rang again and explained the situation. The lady goes "yeah sorry we forgot it". I asked her if maybe they could deliver it or I could come pick it up. She said "Yeah come pick it up". I went there and instead of any acknowledgement or some sort of compensation like chucking in an extra food item or something, they just said "yeah sorry" and brushed me off. I know it was an accident but the fact that I paid for delivery and still had to go down there to pick up the item when the fault was of the restaurant's, some form of compensation or a more genuine apology would've been nice. As a regular and happy customer of several years, the recent change of chef has had a disappointing effect on the lunch menu. The previous daily lunch selections, which were enjoyable and varied, are now too exotic and overly-aesthetic in appearance for an average suburban cafe. Points for artistic presentation I suppose.
Please consider bringing back the parmas you used to serve regularly on Fridays - they were a wonderfully tasty meal for less than $20 (which includes my drink).
