Food was nice and the service provided by the waiting staff was great, but it would have been nice if we didn't have fight off the swarm of flies in the indoor dining area throughout our dinner.

We suggested to one of the waiters that perhaps opening some doors to let the flies outside might be a good idea - a suggestion that was taken to who appeared to be a manager/owner sat at the bar drinking Friday night beers, who's response was simply "there's more flies outside than inside". Perhaps this was true, with all of the farms/wineries nearby (I didn't believe so), but surely some steps can be taken by management to prevent swarms of flies bothering people while they eat what are rather expensive meals. We had grand plans for dessert, but we simply didn't want to fight the flies for it any longer, so we left.

There was not one table of people that weren't being bothered by flies while we were there tonight.

Looking at some other reviews, this appears to be a common complaint. So, why management has not addressed this issue is beyond me.

Given how hard this sector has been hit in recent years, I'd expect any restaurants that have survived the pandemic would be jumping through hoops to get customers in the door. Unfortunately, this was a disappointing night for us, and we won't be going back...

My experience at The Views Function Bar And Grill was nothing short of terrible. The food is expensive, and the customer service is abysmal. I cannot recommend this place at all.

The problems started with the coffee. It arrived scaldingly hot, and the small sip I managed to take burned my tongue. It tasted and smelled like the milk was burnt. When I mentioned this to the staff, I was met with a cold reception. Although they did remake the coffee, it again arrived too hot and tasted more like a cup of hot milk than actual coffee—truly disappointing.

To make matters worse, we weren't offered water, and when we finally asked for some, the cups provided were dirty. While the food tasted decent, it was undercooked, which is shocking given the prices they charge. The lack of attention to detail was evident throughout the entire experience.

To top it all off, when we went to pay, we waited several minutes at the bar with no acknowledgment. There was no goodbye or even a smile as we left—just a clear indication that the staff was annoyed because I had sent back the coffee.

This was an opportunity for them to improve, but they failed miserably. I won’t be returning and strongly advise others to steer...

We had my wife's 70th birthday here with 28 guests. We wanted to pay for everyone's lunch and have drinks at bar prices. Josh (Head Chef/Manager) was absolutely fantastic in facilitating the event planning - giving us various options to achieve this. We chose the set menu of six dishes. Josh prepared and printed a custom menu for us (no prices) and set up three tables for ten people in a corner, as requested. The event went off without a hitch with the staff being extremely friendly and accommodating. Without exception anyone who commented on the food said it was some of the best and highest quality meals they had had. After the meal the staff cut the cake into the required number of pieces and served it for everyone, with their coffee order. The venue itself is also lovely, and it's not called "The Views" for nothing, overlooking spectacularly maintained golf course fairways and natural cliff faces.
