DISGRACEFUL SERVICE and an apology without heart.
I've never made a review in my life on a restaurant, so for a mum of three young kids to actually be on here, should speak volumes.
Arriving with my baby and four year old I was meeting up with my cousin and her two year old for lunch today, a Monday. At 12pm, we ordered two of the specials, the osso bucco with mash. We are two very busy mums and for all you mum's out there, when you bring your young kids/baby you only really have an hour window to eat and maintain sanity before your children loose it.
We ordered a side of cross fries for our kids, they came out and looked amazing but neither one of us recalled ordering the pulled pork?. Anyhow, it was lovely but it ended there.
An hour had passed, our mains had not arrived. We brought it to their attention and they assured us, we were PRIORITISED. Fifteen minutes went by and the lady manager came to apologise and offer us drinks on the house. By this time, our appetites had somewhat expired for lunch and my cousin had to forego her plans of grocery shopping. As you can imagine, my four year old and my cousins two year old were well and truly over sitting in one place for more than an hour.
Finally from the corner of my eyes, I can see our dishes finally being served out. ONLY TO MY HORROR the dishes didn't make there way to our table BUT TO ANOTHER TABLE , to other patrons who arrived AFTER us?????? How exactly are we prioritised? We came first, they apologised for the delay and could see our young kids were restless and YET THE MEALS WENT TO ANOTHER TABLE? We came first so we should have been served FIRST. NOT HARD.
Holding my baby in tow, I was furious and asked why our meals that we have been waiting for, for more than an hour had gone to patrons who arrived way after us? Apparently they had mixed up our order and they couldn't break up that tables order? ARE YOU SERIOUS?
Finally it came out at 2.30pm. Ate it in haste and did not enjoy it. Upon paying the bill, found they had charged me for the extra pulled pork we had not ordered and instead of getting a genuine apology, I got arrogance and no compassion for their blatant OVERSIGHT. We gave you free drinks she says in her defense but do you think free drinks would give me and our kids our time back? We came first , we ordered first, we waited first and you served the other childless (I might add) patrons OUR meals.AND we ARRIVED WAY BEFORE THEM. And so how were we PRIORITISED?
Don't give us an apology, just give us our meals on time. Luckily for us, there will NEVER be a...
Read moreWhat an incredibly disappointing experience. As local residents for the last 30+ years, we have visited Wyndham Cache many times. Yesterday we attended for lunch for the first time in a few months, to have a very dissatisfying experience.
My wife has always enjoyed their chicken Caesar salad. When her meal arrived it was clear there had been a menu change. Rather than being a beautifully presented salad with quality ingredients, including grilled chicken fillet pieces and diced bacon, it arrived as a few cos lettuce leaves on a plate with crumbed chicken portions and a couple of bits of hard, overcooked bacon on top. Worse still, the cos lettuce contained hard chunks of the centre core that were inedible - the parts you would throw in the bin if you were making a meal at home!
My wife could not even eat her meal, which outrageously was $30! She had a glass of the only Chardonnay on the menu, at $15 per glass! I had a Cache Burger which was smaller than a McDonalds burger, and was meant to have a brisket patty - which could have been any type of meat. Very underwhelming, especially for $28. Another guest had Rockling and chips. The feedback was the fish was tasteless and certainly did not taste like Rockling.
We do not mind paying for good food when we go out for a meal, however hate getting ripped off, which is how we felt yesterday. After many years of visiting Wyndham Cache, we will not be returning after...
Read moreWe went in today to have a coffee and then pop in next door and gets some fresh eggs.
We went to the Cafe first and asked if there was a table available for 3. The girl looked at me like I asked her something stupid and then rolled her eyes and said yes. We were sat at a table and I got up to go and order at the front, which I then asked politely, I'm not sure if we need to place the order here or at the tables, to which the girl again, rolled her eyes at me and shook her head and told me that she would come to me, to which then she rushed over to the table and looked extremely annoyed and then was extremely rude when taking our order.
Not sure what on earth her problem was, but I will definitely not be going there again. A note to the wait staff, if you want people to come back in, don't be rude and arrogant for no reason, especially when someone is being polite.
After experiencing this, my father and I headed into the shop and we both purchased three trays of eggs each, spending over $100, to which even the elderly staff were so rude and had absolutely no customer service skills. One of the staff members got annoyed that my two year old daughter was singing to herself.
I don't know how on earth these businesses can run with such horrible people working.
Do go in if you want no customer service and wait staff that make you feel unwelcome. Extremely...
