Three Hands Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

Wish I could give ZERO stars. Extremely rude staff. Ruined my entire day the way they treated me. I was waiting to pick up my order and asked the most valid question there is "How long it's going to be?" The old lady at the front literally said, "I DONT KNOW MATE IM BUSY" I mean can you believe THAT!! I ignore it and just wait having a little walk in the store and she asks me to wait outside in the Freezing cold. When I confronted her, she says you're disturbing the customers. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! There were literally like 4 ppl there only and I made sure not to go near them and be decent. This really ticked me off. I assume her husband comes next and TOTALLY takes her side without even LISTENING TO ME AT ALL! I try to explain to him what exactly happened. But he keeps cutting me off just to defend the old lady blindly! Just utterly appalling behaviour from the staff. Furthermore, I notice she's treating all the customers somewhat nicely and just because I'm of Indian ethnicity and a food delivery person, she takes the most daunting of tones with me? Don't I deserve to be treated wity respect too? I mean she couldn't possibly have known I was here to pick up a delivery when I first entered, but her tone was terrible from the very start. Not putting any allegations on her but I can only assume it was because of the colour of my skin as that was the only difference between me and the other customers. I keep trying to explain to the man what happened between all his baseless allegations about me disrespecting the old lady and he gets so angry at one point and asks me to leave the store. Keep in mind i didn't raise my voice ONCE. Things calm down and I wait there and not once do any of them apologise. I mean at the end of the day we are all trying our best to put food on the table in these trying times and all I demand is a little respect and not differently from any other person with any other ethnicity. Clearly this is asking a lot of the staff at this cafe and my mind would certainly never be at ease dining at a place where I know for a fact you get treated according to uncontrollable factors like your background and your stature and not with equal respect like it certainly should be. Was excited to try this place but sadly the food was a big down for the price you'd expect your plate smiling but today no.My Girlfriend had the pulled pork toasted sandwich which the bread was burnt and a side of chips and for $7 a side it was sad chips where burnt due to old oil as it left a burnt taste in the mouth no garnish just to put life on the plate.l had the Brisket burger 😢 sad looking bun that looked like it was pulled from the freezer limp lettuce the meat was salty as again the chips were the same not very nice. Was a big let down maybe you need a new chef had awesome stuff on your walls and drinks were cold but no ice in glass.ive been in hospitality for over 4 decades worked in many cafes, restaurants, running kitchens even had my own shop.maybe we got you on a bad day. I ordered through uber eats supercharged toasties. I had seen them for months and thought the prices are just a bit steep on the online ordering platform to justify a toastie or jaffle known to some. I bit the bullet and we tried the chicken avocado and cheese toastie and the French style (french toast) ham, cheese and tomato toastie.. with 2 hashbrowns cooked to my request to perfection (extra crispy!).

Even though the food arrived luke warm and not hot due to the pressure on the delivery drivers.. I just have to give them a 10/10 or a 5 star review.

The quality, attention to detail and the absolute deliciousness of the food we received is second to none I have experience with this type of food. Who knew toasties could be so gourmet.

So excited to try one in person next...
